Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager 1, will be responsible for designing, developing and testing sophisticated software; designing and developing features to add streaming image acquisition support in MATLAB and Simulink from real world image acquisition hardware; developing command line APIs and MATLAB Apps to allow users to easily interact with image acquisition devices; working with other members of the Image Acquisition Toolbox team; developing features following all stages of development ranging from requirement gathering to software design, coding, and unit-testing; and working with documentation to provide feature and application examples.

Education and Experience:

Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development, testing or technical support of MATLAB-based image acquisition applications.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise designing and providing technical support for MATLAB-based software interfaces to cameras and frame grabbers using C++ and MATLAB.

• Demonstrated expertise in object oriented programming in MATLAB and C++.

• Demonstrated expertise writing software interfaces and providing technical support for camera drivers and imaging standards -- GigE and GenICam -- using MATLAB and C++.

• Demonstrated expertise creating support packages for hardware interfaces using MATLAB; and developing test scenarios with cameras, frame grabbers, and webcams for development and testing of image acquisition features in MATLAB.
