The company is Well-funded, high-growth, and ambitious startup using artificial intelligence to provide clinical and operational guidance that supports population health and clinical decision-making. We are partnering with premier health systems to deploy actionable AI, focusing on delivering insights that help population health initiatives.
The company is located in Dedham, MA, near the Commuter Rail (25 minutes from Back Bay and South Station, Boston) and I-95/128. Interviews are being conducted remotely, and the position is currently fully remote and will be flexible as to location going forward. Must live no more than 2 hours from Dedham, MA
Position overviewThe Cloud Engineer role on the Cloud engineering team is responsible for enabling secure, easy-to-use, scalable, and durable AWS solutions between our internal or external clients and our services. This job requires exceptional cloud engineering and security expertise. To forward the reliability and maintainability of our AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring we meet our compliance obligations. These systems live within our on-premises infrastructure and vastly growing cloud computing infrastructure. You will work closely with a team of peers to produce and maintain easy-to-use cloud-native solutions, software tools, libraries, and workflows, for use in handling the different engineering requirements of every team member. You will also take break-fix work and consult with other teams on implementation details for new and existing projects where AWS Cloud services are consumed.
Responsibilities

  • Help design, implement, and manage cloud-related security controls that support our cybersecurity programs (SOC 2, NIST-800-53, etc.)
  • You will Perform compliance testing of cloud infrastructure under our security and operational controls around HyTrust and HIPAA.
  • Contribute to the implementation of software and infrastructure architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies
  • Rectify gaps and pain points within the current state of the cloud stack
  • Analyze the current AWS environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Improve and modify current designs by reviewing end-user topology, security, performance, and interoperability requirements
  • Interface with internal clients to build best-viable solutions for prototypes and design choices in deliverables
  • Develop, build, and maintain CI/CD PL and follow best practices around automation
  • Help mentor and develop peers with different team and organization skill sets.We're looking for teammates with
    • Experience with deploying or developing AWS services
    • Familiarity with scripting languages, including but not limited to Bash and PowerShell
    • Some programming experience with either Python or JavaScript (Python preferred)
    • Actual world use of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code on AWS
    • Familiarity with Jira and Agile/Scrum workflows
    • Displayed proficiency in core IT concepts of networking, cybersecurity, and physical/virtual infrastructure functions
    • Experience in common object-oriented patterns and structures and software design paradigms is a plus
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, time management, communication, and reportingPreferred education
      • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or 3-5 years of related Cloud engineering and DevOps experience
