experiencing rapid growth.Who we're looking for:We're on the hunt
for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Engineering
Consultant to join our growing Energy Efficiency Incentives team.
We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is
eager to grow within the role and eventually manage their own
team.The key areas of focus within this role include the delivery
of studies pertaining to the -179D commercial buildings
energy-efficient tax deduction and -45L energy-efficient home tax
credit.This includes attending site visits, liaising with external
partners, architects, contractors, and building owners, as well as
employees across various departments within Leyton.Assistance with
the engineering component of some of our Cost Segregation studies
will also feature as part of this role.What we offer you: - An

this role you'll get to:--- Plan and lead multiple projects
simultaneously to certify energy-efficient commercial and
residential buildings for federal tax incentives--- Leverage
leadership and project management skills in working with clients,
partners, and internal teams to ensure a streamlined and timely
delivery of projects that meets and exceeds client expectations---
Frequent travel to building sites across the country is a key part
of this role--- Review and analyze client-provided documentation
(architectural/MEP/lighting construction documents, specifications,
photographs, schedules etc.)--- Complete building energy models for
commercial and residential buildings using IRS-approved software
according to IRC Sections -179D and -45L--- Coordinate and perform
site inspections/testing for -45L Energy Efficient Home Credit and
-179D Energy-Efficient Commercial Building Tax Deduction--- Prepare
detailed site inspection reports and relevant certification
documents--- Provide technical training and coaching for other team
members--- Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in energy
efficiency--- Stay up to date on ASHRAE and RESNET standards,
certification programs, and state Energy Codes
Requirements:
You'll be a great fit if you:--- Have a Bachelor's in
Engineering--- Have a current Professional Engineer (PE) license in
at least one state (license in multiple states is strongly
preferred) and at least 3 years of engineering experience with a
focus on energy efficiency--- Possess excellent verbal and written
communication skills--- Have exceptional problem-solving,
organizational, and analytical skills--- Are experienced with
IRS-approved, building energy modeling software (e.g. EnergyGauge,
eQUEST, REM/Rate)--- Are proficient at reading and interpreting
architectural and MEP plans and construction documents--- You have
an advanced understanding of building science and building envelope
systems, as well as HVAC and lighting systems; you can identify
equipment and its function while onsiteNice to haves:--- An
advanced degreed is preferred--- Experience with Cost Segregation
