Job Description:
As a Senior Exoskeleton Design Engineer, you will be responsible
for the mechanical design of major subsystems of a next generation
robotic exoskeleton. A successful candidate will be able to create
high quality designs from customer needs. You will work closely
with a team of controls, electrical, and software engineers to
develop cutting edge systems. Being on the forefront of an emerging
technology, many of the problems we face start with a blank
whiteboard. The breadth of this role includes the design of
electromechanical and actuation systems, leading all stages of
prototyping efforts, and evaluating prototypes through lab and user
testing. It is expected that this role will require a majority of
time spent designing using Solidworks. To quickly develop this
technology, Dephy strives to enable and facilitate an environment

military, academic, medical, and consumer markets. Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Design of the mechanical components used in performance
exoskeletons
- Design of complex electromechanical assemblies and mechanisms
using Solidworks
- Create models that are both beautiful and functional
- Bring designs to life starting with a sketch or rendering
- Develop ideas through prototyping and testing
- Understand and solve hard problems with creative solutions
Requirements Required Qualifications:
- Be a good human - get along with the team, build strong working
relationships, and execute on Dephy's Values.
- Significant Solidworks experience focused on electromechanical
systems and a portfolio to showcase them
- Courage to try new things and fail fast
- Self starter mindset that doesn't wait to be told what to do
next
- Capability of thriving in a cross-disciplinary and
collaborative environment
- Ability to work with team members of all experience levels
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of design engineering experience working with cross
functional teams Preferred Experience:
- Wearable robotics or exoskeletons
- Biomechanics and human locomotion
- Rapid prototyping and iterative development processes
- Design of consumer devices
- Prototyping and manufacturing techniques Other Information
