Qualifications:

MS/PhD in EE/CS or related field with 10+ years of experience.

Demonstrable knowledge of various video standards. Particular knowledge of MPEG2, AVC, HEVC, VVC, VP9, AV1 standards are a must. Others are a plus.

In-depth knowledge on media capture, processing, editing, encoding, transporting, decoding, processing, and display data pipeline and processing flow.

Demonstrable knowledge of stream multiplexing, demultiplexing, synchronization.

Expertise on video analysis tools including Elecard and Vega

Strong skills on programming in C, C++, Python and Unix shell

Excellent problem solving skills that can help customers resolve issues related to video codec

Good leadership skills with excellent interpersonal communications.

Advocate of Continuous Integration (CI) principles and flows

Familiarity with static analysis tools (e.g. Coverity and Pylint), Code coverage tools (e.g. CTC++), Code Review (Coco and Gerrit) tools, automation server (Jenkins), and bug issue tracking (Jira)

Knowledge of automated Lab testing environments. Lab go to person.

Familiarity with Over-The-Top (OTT) and Settop Box (STB) video products.

Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

Pre- and post-processing for image and video applications.

Experience with embedded systems (e.g. ARC, OR1K), ARM, and MIPS CPUs.

Responsibilities:

Lead a small group of senior firmware verification engineers

Coordinate firmware releases

Create and execute test plans

Maintain a high level (goal is 100%) of functional and code coverage

Develop and maintain testbench and test suits

Hands on lab manager
