eVTOL passenger vehicles with a novel Propulsion/Guidance Platform
for deployment in the burgeoning Urban Air Mobility Space.
Job Description
We are looking for someone to perform work with a specialization in
aerospace or mechanical engineering to perform tasks in design,
manufacturing and testing.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design of aerospace vehicles, flight critical systems and
structures, fabrication of composites structures and tooling,
utilization of rapid prototyping methods
- Perform a variety of simulations such as CFD, Stress,
Thermodynamics,structural dynamics
- Support research efforts in conceptual-level aerodynamic
design, analysis, and optimization, including multi-disciplinary
and multi-fidelity design, using scripting platforms like
Matlab/Simulink and Python
- Investigate evolving technologies, materials and manufacturing
processes in support of ongoing and future programs and conceive
novel aircraft systems and configurations leveraging developments
in these areas
- Support requirements definition, conceptual/preliminary layout,
and detailed analysis for air vehicle systems
- Design, build, and test prototype systems and structures
- Manage the design of hardware, the acquisition of required
materials, vendor relations, and the instruction of assembly and
testing
- Anticipate needs, identify problems, think creatively, and
rapidly produce reliable and cost-effective solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, or related degree with 2+ years of applicable

required
- Knowledge of and experience in CFD, Stress, Thermodynamics,
structural dynamics
- Experience with OpenVSP will be preferred
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to think creatively and independently about how to turn
vague inputs into executable objectives Preferred experience with:
- Multidisciplinary optimization and vehicle sizing
- Using first principles aerodynamics for design-based
analysis
- Standard CAD packages (e.g. SolidWorks or CATIA)
- A range of aerodynamic, structural, vibratory and propulsive
analysis tools, at several levels of fidelity
- Validation of analysis results against other sources, such as
flight test Physical Requirements
- CFD, Stress, Thermodynamics, aeroelastics, structural
dynamics
Additional Information
Our innovative startup seeks driven, high performance, high energy
independent achievers who can work on a multidisciplinary team to
build a groundbreaking electric VTOL platform that will be the
