*Senior Network Engineer**Boston, MA - Onsite for first year*Our client,one of the world's major sports footwear and apparel manufacturers, is looking for a talented Senior Network Engineer to join their network support division. You'll work in a team environment and monitor the health and wellness of devices on our networks in a large diverse corporate environment. You'll represent a brand that has been a retail chain leader for over 120 years and has shops spread throughout the globe. Travel is mostly local to New England but may include national travel as well (up to 20%). Onsite initially but remote after a year.*Responsibilities:** Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain enterprise network with a strong focus on firewalls (NGFW), overall network security, and network route/switch configurations.* Assist in the day-to-day operations of enterprise systems including corporate, retail, cloud, and data center infrastructures.* To provide excellent client service while evaluating enhancements to the global networks by making use of technical knowledge, experience, and an in-depth understanding of switching, routing, and data flows.* To resolve issues by taking the appropriate corrective action or following the appropriate escalation procedures.* As a networking expert with a strong technical foundation, the successful candidate will operate and maintain our corporate network, help other subject matter experts best utilize network resources.* They will be comfortable in an environment with flexible work schedules, 24/7 availability and on-call rotation (including weekends).*Requirements:** 7+ years of related experience* BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent* Experience with designing, building, and monitoring routers and switches as well as mentoring Junior Engineers* Strong understanding of data center network provisioning* Understanding and use of network management tools, experience deploying and managing firewalls/routers.* Experience with deploying and managing multisite VPN solutions* Significant experience with Aruba Wireless Environment, Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, Cisco routing and switching, Microsoft Team and TCP/IP* Demonstrable ability to break down and analyze network communications at the packet level* Experience with deploying and managing load balancers and remote access VPNs, Next Gen Firewalls* Experience with Implementing Quality of Service in a Voice/Video integrated Network Environment.* Knowledge of ITIL, and change management processes.* Hands on experience with multiple platforms in a corporate environment including Windows, Linux, OSX, Cisco, and other platforms.* Experience working on global network design ranging from Retail to Enterprise environments.* Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a demanding business and IT environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Professional development assistance* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayExperience:* Aruba Wireless: 5 years (Required)* F5 Load Balancer: 5 years (Preferred)* Palo Alto: 5 years (Preferred)* Cisco routers: 5 years (Preferred)Willingness to travel:* 25% (Required)Work Location: In person
