An AEO Repair Engineering team is responsible for supporting the
development and implementation of repairs for the overall
Aeroderivative engine fleet including the LM500, LM5000, LM6000,
LM2500, LMS100 and LM1600 products. The team is instrumental in
supporting our Aviation repair shops and our Customers repair shops
meet financial targets and enhancing their repair capability to
service the end users of our Aeroderivative products. The Staff
Repair Engineer is an individual contributor who will work to make
decisions, apply concepts and resolve issues on assigned projects
guided by established business policies, procedures, standards and
best practices. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of
own team. Has significant input into priorities. The role has
moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational
judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Development of repair and inspection technologies to meet short
term and long-term business needs
Ability to work across functions in the development,
implementation, and final industrialization of a repair to support
our shops and customer shops.
Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends
best practices to improve products, processes or services as it
pertains to repair.
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting assigned
projects to find creative solutions to complex problems with
technical variety and/or interdependent processes. This will
include being a resource for less experienced colleagues.
Leverage prior experience and knowledge and broaden knowledge of
one's own technical discipline to meet product deliverables. This
may require use of multiple internal and external resources outside
of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external
customers, including leadership.
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue. This
includes timely communications on significant issues or
developments
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the
assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering
policies and procedures
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as
best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical
developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy
development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks
or problems in areas of operational/product management,
manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on
existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for
data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal
and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at
decisions.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead
small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build
consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence
others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an
engineering field
minimum five years of experience in a repair engineering role

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
