Records & Information Management Senior Manager Job Description As the Records & Information Management, Senior Manager, you will develop and lead our global Records & Information Management Program (the "RIM Program"). Our RIM Program will be designed to ensure that our Company identifies, classifies, retains, stores, secures, retrieves, and disposes of documents and electronic records in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, Company policies and SOPs. This position will report to the Director, Business Continuity and Resilience. The duties of the RIM Sr. Manager leader include:

  • Direct and manage operations of the RIM Program and business compliance
  • Develop a strategic plan for enterprise-wide records management - including management of the information and records life cycle, ensuring retention, backups and appropriate deletion
  • Develop and implement a Records Retention Schedule and record taxonomies
  • Lead implementation efforts for each business database, including the creation or modification of database/repository-specific SOPs
  • Evaluate and approve changes to the RIM Program via feasibility studies, business cases, and monitoring trends
  • Establish KPIs for the RIM Program
  • Integrate third party and contactor management of records
  • Champion organizational policy and process development with respect to archival records, promoting security, preservation, and effective management throughout lifecycle
  • Develop and conduct training on good recordkeeping practices and information and records policies and SOPs
  • Assist in decommissioning legacy applications
  • Assist Data Strategy and Solutions Team with the location and effective optimization of data to strengthen business
  • Assist the Privacy Office with various initiatives
  • Assist Legal in the management of document holds and retention of relevant documents and records
  • Bi-annual review of taxonomies
  • Conduct audits of RIM compliance across business units
  • Report on the performance and health of the RIM Program to the Champions, Steering Committees and Governance Council
  • Support opportunities for career development consistent with RIM Program objectives to improve staff effectiveness Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree required. An advanced degree in information management or a related field, such as Computer Science, Library and Information Science, or Management Information Systems is strongly preferred.
    • 5 years' experience directing and developing, planning and implementing records management and/or information governance programs within the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of leading practices Preferred Requirements:
      • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, communicate effectively with senior leaders, create and lead training programs for a variety of employee levels, and advocate for program priorities
      • Experience using and optimizing enterprise content management platforms
      • Superior leadership skills - must be decisive, organized, and able to lead people and drive change management through clear planning and execution
      • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
      • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and project management skills in complex situations.
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals up, down, and across the organization.
      • Strong interpersonal skills-including relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally.
      • Outstanding presence and communication skills, able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility.
      • Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively across the company.
      • High tolerance for ambiguity in a complex environment and proven ability to make the complex clear and easily understood by others. Preferred qualifications:
