Program Manager, Integrated Behavioral Health Program Manager, Integrated Behavioral Health Boston Medical Center (BMC) is more than a hospital. Position: Program Manager, Integrated Behavioral Health Department: IBH Population Health Schedule: Full Time Responsible for the Depression Care Management team. Supervises the depression care managers in their patient facing and administrative work. Leads case review meetings and provides direct clinical services as needed. Assists in developing and ensuring implementation of program protocols and workflows. Works with the data team on tracking services and creating reports. Represents BMC programs at government and community level meetings, events, and conferences. Conducts all activities within the standards, regulations, and contract assurances of BMC. . management of Depression care management (DCM) program management

  • Responsible for managing Depression Care Management team
  • Responsible for achieving program goals and objectives
  • Ensures the DCM team manages an active caseloads of eligible patients
    • Works with the clinical staff to receive/screen referrals for eligibility
    • Conduct panel management to ensure ongoing access to care
    • Makes sure patient transitions are smooth, patient centered, and appropriate as symptoms change
    • Monitors project activities and evaluates outcomes of the project
    • Ensures the teams maintains adequate notes in the medical record system and documents according to department and DCM model of care
    • Modifies program protocols to meet the needs of the varied populations accessing care at BMC and other collaborating sites.
    • Ensures the licensed staff receive appropriate clinical oversight
    • Works with DCM team members to ensure timely and accurate data collection and to maintain a data management system. Compiles statistics and uses data to determine status of program activities and other metrics as specified. Staff Management
      • Manages staff activities, schedules, vacations, use of earned time, and coverage
      • Provides administrative and programmatic supervision to staff
      • Mediates conflict between staff, or directs staff to appropriate resources
      • Assures adherence to program policies and procedures
      • Approves weekly timesheets
      • Arranges communications for new staff: phone, email, pager, as needed
      • Initiates disciplinary action and job termination
      • Prepares and delivers staff performance evaluations Meetings and Conferences/External relationships
        • Works with key stakeholders to achieve program goals and promote the programs.
        • Represents BMC at local, state and national meetings
        • Attends other meetings, including staff meetings, departmental and general hospital meeting as appropriate. GENERAL
          • Implements BMC protocol when suspecting domestic violence
          • Utilizes hospital values as basis for decision making and to facilitate hospital mission
          • Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures
          • Models the ability to set professional boundaries
          • Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary. Must adhere to all of BMC's RESPECT behavioral standards. JOB DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTICS EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in human services, social work, social sciences or related field. Master's Degree preferred. However, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: None EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of five of experience in the non-profit sector or in a similar clinical or program experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Prior experience in leadership in other fields may substitute for direct non-profit experience. However, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Able to conduct themselves with extreme sensitivity to the needs of patients with depression and other behavioral health conditions. Must have superior understanding of depression, integrated behavioral health, and working on a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
