ConsultingOperations supports the practice by collaborating with all functional areas andenabling solutions that optimize resource and financial performance, minimizerisk, and maximize client experience. TheOperations role is responsible for providing operational support to the Financial Consulting leadership team and service teamwith a focus on - Strategic Leadership, Strategic Implementation andOperational Optimization. In this capacity, operations isaccountable to ensure tools, processes, and systems exist and effectivelysupport the delivery of quality services to RSM's clients. Location, in the US, is open! Strategic Leadership - Planning - Analysis - Leadership
    • Support and Execution
      • Partner strategically with and / or serve as a surrogate for assigned Consulting Leader to support the execution of short and long-term goals
      • Participate in setting direction, making decisions, develop implementation plans and performance measurements for the ongoing success of the team
      • Partner strategically with assigned Consulting Leader to develop leadership meeting objectives and agendas, facilitate leadership meetings, and provide management oversight to strategic and tactical imperatives
      • Participate in and contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies
      • Performance Analysis
        • Utilize performance reports and systems to perform detailed analysis of identified under performing areas summarizing findings and improvement recommendations to the Consulting Leader
        • Business Oversight
          • Continually identify, assess, monitor and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholder
          • Provide interim hands-on leadership, management and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis
          • Provide day to day and ongoing performance management, development, coaching and exit-counseling of employee
          • Initiative Management
            • Manage and facilitate internal consulting initiative implementations (ie. new service offerings, technology solutions, business processes, etc.) by working with Consulting Leaders, technical counterparts, internal support functions, and vendors as necessary to address full client delivery life cycle and operational components
            • Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope
            • Apply knowledge to ensure projects achieve objectives and strategic business alignment
            • Change Management
            • Partner with Consulting Leaders to provide change management support for internal initiatives
            • Standard Operating Procedures
              • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all operational processes
              • Update standard operating procedures as process improvements are implemented
              • Business Lifecycle Support
                • Provide business lifecycle process (lead generation to engagement closure) and systems knowledge support to consulting leaders and team members
                • Operational Effectiveness
                  • Provide ongoing operational process oversight and monitoring of process adherence and effectiveness
                  • Develop and implement process improvements focused on operational effectiveness and efficiency
                  • Act as operations subject matter expert and advocate for technology deployments, working with Consulting Leaders, technical counterparts, internal support functions, and vendors
                  • Provide ongoing reporting oversight and monitoring of reporting effectiveness
                  • Ensure reporting is available to monitor and measure key performance indicators
                  • Process Improvement
                    • Recommend and develop operational process improvement iniatives in support of the business strategy
                    • Partner with assigned Consulting Leader, consulting team, and internal departments (human resources, sales, marketing, finance, legal, NORM, etc.) to develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective operational support processes
                    • Performs other duties as assigned 10% EDUCATION TECHNICAL SKILLS
                      • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly excel, word, power point, Outlook
                      • Financial analysis EXPERIENCE
                        • Minimum of ten years experience working with management level individuals.
                        • Minimum of five years experience working in a professional services firm; consulting preferred
                        • Minimum of five to seven years working in assigned area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
                        • Previous experience in managing others in a team environment - direct or indirectly
                        • Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB
                          • Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of ambiguity and change exists - Required
                          • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership - Required
                          • Ability to work autonomously and as a team leader - Required
                          • Strong problem solving and analysis skills - Required
                          • Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills - Required
                          • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to process financial information for reasonableness and accuracy.
                          • Ability to supervise and review the results of projects or assignments
                          • Ability to train, mentor and provide guidance and feedback to other team members LEADERSHIP SKILLS
                            • Required to effectively communicate across all levels; knows audience and adapts appropriately, effective facilitation/presentation skills and strong listening skills
                            • Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities - Required
                            • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change - Required
                            • Able to motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential - Required
                            • Ability to define a business requirements, present options and secure management buy-in on appropriate solutions
