Reporting to the SVP Technical Services and Sustainability (SVPTSS), the candidate will oversee the Warranty Services Department through the Manager of Warranty Services.Key responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the department, including ongoing support, training, mentoring of existing Warranty staff in our Canton, MA location.Warranty Issuance

  • Insure the issuance of warranties in a timely manner
  • Develop and track performance metrics
  • Work with Corporate Legal on any warranty language adjustments
  • Expand the use of digital tools and technologies to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
    Claims Management
    • Ensure claims are handled in a timely manner while keeping Regions informed
    • Minimize exposure resulting from claims
    • Insure most cost-effective means are used to address claims while doing the best to maintain customer relations.
    • Evaluate opportunities for developing in-house warranty and other repair services
    • Oversee claims investigations through the use of internal staff and/or through personal investigation on larger claims and/or by commissioning external, third party consultants
    • Work with corporate legal and external counsel in the handling of all potential and actual legal claims
    • Work with the Technical Department to establish warranty-related policies to minimize risk, while maintaining the companys overall market competitiveness
    • Keep warranty policy manual up to date
    • Provide regular and YE reports on claims status
    • Develop and track performance metrics
    • Expand the use of digital tools and technologies to improve overall efficiency and effectivenessQualifications/Experience/Education:
      • Minimum Bachelors Degree preferred.
      • Minimum of ten years of experience in technical services with a roofing materials supplier or roofing consulting company or similarThe ideal candidate should have the following personal skills and abilities:
        • Experience in project management.
        • Professional attitude with good problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
        • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
        • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
