Job DescriptionGuidance & Patient Support (GPS) Insights is an
industry-leading patient support analytics and insights teams
established to deliver core reporting needs and apply
predictive/prescriptive insights that can be applied to
continuously enhance the GPS patient experience. The function
drives analyses that underpin this patient-focused department's
data-driven and innovation culture. After initially establishing
foundational data quality and reporting capabilities, the team
continuously innovates by adding and linking new data sets,
automating dashboards for on-demand reporting, producing tools to
help optimize and prioritize workload using advanced analytics and
data science, and utilizing a test and learn experimentation
platform to power the cycle of innovation. We are seeking a
visionary leader of the GPS Insights team that shares a passion for
patients and the vision and commitment to generate analytical
insights that continuously enhance the patient experience. This
leader will manage a team of 3 employees, 2-3 contractors, and
vendor relationships.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, drive and execute the strategic roadmap for the next 3-5
years that is aligned to the GPS vision and strategy in
consultation with stakeholders and applying cutting edge
capabilities
- Provides leadership to employees and contractors/vendors,
ensuring the team is clear on priorities, coached to exceptional
performance, and can collaborate exceptionally well
- Deliver foundational reporting and deep dive analyses to
support colleagues in understanding challenges and opportunities to
achieve goals, including performing hands-on analyses
- Lead the innovation engine to make the program better using
advanced analytics and data science, powering the innovation cycle
through a test and learn experimentation process
- Design and implement the Insights Platform (Visual reporting
capability) and build the foundations for self-service business
intelligence
- Partner with cross functional commercial colleagues to provide
insightful and compliant insights on both pre-determined needs and
proactively identifying emerging needs and opportunities
- Provide exceptional partnership to our data science and IT
teams to deliver results
- Communicate clearly and concisely complex analyses to all
levels of the organization
- Drive continuous improvement through exploring and linking new
data sets, automating dashboards for on-demand reporting, and new
tools
- Manage analytics project portfolio including budget, focus on
initiatives core to GPS goals
- Champion appropriate behaviors and continuously compliant
environment; role models integrityKnowledge and Skills:
- Ability to provide oversight of technical team including Excel,
relevant coding/programming, data warehouse, and advanced
analytics/data science experience
- Ability to lead and influence others in diverse settings with a
spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, coaching and
inspiring a team towards clear goals and results
- Highly experienced at generating insights through data and
analytics
- Skilled at working in a fast paced, evolving environment with
attention to detail, committed follow-through, and highly developed
judgement in making technical or business decisions
- Excellent communication skills; patient-centric and
customer-service mindedEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline required
- Typically requires 10 or more years of work experience in
healthcare and/or analytics, with 3 years in leading teams and
significant technical data analytics/science experience, or the
