The Opportunity -Delaware North Boston Holdings is hiring a Security Manager to join our operations team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for the overall safety and security of the TD Garden, the corporate offices, and surrounding areas including the base building and event security. In addition, the security role is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the safety and security strategy for TD Garden, its occupants, the contracted security team, and local and federal contracted staff for all phases of building security, event security, and risk management, and life safety.

• Manage an overarching safety and security strategy for TD Garden with indirect accountability and ownership of end-to-end safety and security functions.
• Lead and supervise contracted security supervisors, managers, street patrol, all event-driven and building security staff.
• Participate on TD Garden's Threat Assessment Team and revitalize and relaunch the crisis response team.
• Monitor and review camera and digital recording footage within the arena and surrounding perimeter.
• Ensure compliance with NBA, NHL, and any other applicable security protocols and regulations.
• Make certain associate and unit compliance with applicable alcohol and food service policies, as well as state and local laws, loss prevention, and physical security initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and manage security training initiatives for the Base Building Security program as well as the day-to-day functions, procedures, and policies of the program.
• Establish, own, and maintain working relationships with local police, fire, emergency departments, federal agencies, and neighborhood associations. -Qualifications -
  • Bachelor's degree or significant experience equivalent.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing security strategies in large, major arenas, stadiums, or similar venues that offer large events attended by the public.
  • 5 or more years of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, corporate venue security, or a similar position.
  • 3 or more years of management experience involving special event and public assembly facility security personnel.
  • 3 or more years of conflict management experience, including the ability to deescalate situations and enhance the guest experience.
  • Ability to complete projects and resolve issues expeditiously, independently, and with minimal supervision showing initiative and good judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
