Work you'll do

As a QA Manager on our team you will be working closely with Tax SMEs, Business Analysts, and application developers to aggregate, prioritize, and report out on impact of the top quality issues affecting the projects. Additionally, you will:

• Collaborates with Tax SMEs, Business Analysts, and application developers to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed function requirements.
• Creates and maintain the Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Test Cases, and Test Metrics.
• Designs test plans in a manner that supports both manual and automation testing for web-based tax applications.
• Collaborate with business team to understand business needs and user requirements, procedures and problems in order to propose/create/test solutions
• Executes end-to-end functional and automated tests cases and creates clearly documented defects that enable a developer to recreate the issue.
• Assist to Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Write SQL queries and utilize SQL Server Management Studio for various testing scenarios.
• Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
• Follow QA processes and procedures throughout the testing life cycle.
• Responsible for conducting analysis of defects with development team, BA and other stakeholders, replicating issues for analysis and resolution.
• Participates in scrum daily status and project status calls to provide accurate updates on deliverable timelines and status.
• Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific Client requirements.
• Support system testing by following up on and closing defect tickets in a timely manner.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members in U.S. and U.S.-India.
• Analyze feature requirements and assist in identifying requirement enhancements to improve product efficiency. Assist in customization/identifying requirement changes of software system to increase operating efficiency.
• Coordinate and Conduct feature demonstrations for stakeholders once testing is concluded.
• Involved in Software Development Testing of information technology solutions that align with business initiatives for clients/prospective clients
• Define performance testing process as applicable. Test programs and monitor performance of program after implementation etc.
• Establish and evolve seamless regression test process to include existing features and new features.
• Ability to create and execute test scripts using automation tools.
• Provide test status, communicate the test summary in testing and defect triage calls.
  Qualifications
  
  Required:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems, computer science, business/technology or similar degree
  • 8+ years' experience in QA Testing with at least 2 years in test automation
  • knowledge of QA process and testing methodology
  • Ability to analyze testing requirements based on the business requirements
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a high paced scrum methodology QA process
    • Ability to work, monitor and report test progress, quality status and test results. Adapting the test plan on evolving conditions within the project.
    • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
    • Assure timely completion of testing for projects as well as comprehensive bug tracking and reporting
    • Proficient in creation/maintenance of testing artifacts using test management tools preferably Azure DevOps.
    • Bachelor's degree in business information systems, computer science, business/technology or similar degree
    • Experience with SDLC methodologies
    • Experience with writing SQL Scripts for testing
    • Experience of Agile methodologies and SCRUM processes.
    • Experience with automated testing tools - preferably Selenium.
    • Travel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

      Preferred:
      
      • ISTQB certified software tester certification obtained or in process or must be able/willing to obtain.
      • Experience working in Financial Services environment.
      • Experience working in consulting environment.
      • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and virtually.
      • Ability to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
      • Knowledge of an object-oriented programming is a plus - preferably C#
      • Experience with CI/CD tools preferably Azure DevOps.
