The role of the Product Tax Manager is to set the strategic direction of the business, develop new products for the business and work with prospects and clients on new services. The ideal candidate is an energetic strategic thinker, with deep knowledge of the Fund Services business and the U.S. and Canadian tax reporting landscape in particular, covering traditional and alternative products. They should also be fluent in market and financial analysis, resourceful and execution-driven. Strong cross-functional/business collaboration skills are required as they will work across multiple teams within the bank. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills are a must. Also important are the ability to: synthesize large amounts of information into crisp recommendations; present and defend recommendations to a variety of audiences; manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively.As a Product Tax Manager you will work with the Fund Services teams, clients, internal business partners, external vendors and industry forums to manage, support, and grow our product offerings. In this role, your responsibilities will include:+ Manage ongoing business activity and strategic direction for the global businesses+ Gain a comprehensive understanding of existing tax product capabilities and design innovative solutions+ Provide strategic leadership to define and document the tax strategy and execution plan+ Lead strategic projects focused on growing the business+ Oversee third parties with respect to their services to J.P. Morgan+ Work with internal partners in Sales and Pricing to define standard rate cards for Fund Services Products; create infrastructure for standard rate cards+ Work with business partners in Finance, Sales, and Operations to understand and manage product P+ Provide financial analysis support to senior leadership to ensure product profitability+ Work with Risk Management to define and manage product risk exposure+ Assist in managing Investment Initiative pipeline and budget to assure priorities are aligned with investment spending+ Work closely with Product Development to ensure successful development and implementation of new products and product enhancements+ Maintain understanding of competitor landscape+ Provide thought leadership and prepare relevant articles for publication for clients and for media releaseQualificationsThe successful candidate will have worked in investment management, securities processing, and/or financial services environment for a minimum of 6-10 years or in a tax operations, tax advisory, tax product (development) management, or client service role and will exhibit the following skills:+ Advanced degree or advancement toward one preferred (MBA, CFA, CPA)+ Strong independent contributor who is comfortable working in a self-directed mode+ Vocal in challenging business as usual operating models and recommending innovative solutions+ Excellent analytical skills and presentation skills+ Strong written skills+ Ability to devise creative solutions in response to client requests and strategic product goals+ Ability to map proposed product solutions against technology and operations platforms+ A strong team player with an ability to work in teams distributed across the globe+ Current and practical knowledge of the Securities Industry and the Funds Services business, including experience with fund account platforms such as InvestOne, Arcesium, and Investran+ Ability to manage relationships with external vendors+ Ability to move product initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model+ Strong Microsoft Office skillsJPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
