**Description****Vice President, Liquidity Risk &
Investments**This critical role spans across all aspects of
Liquidity Risk and Investment Management including risk analytics
and reporting, portfolio optimization, policy, regulatory
interpretation and process capabilities and
governance.**Responsibilities**+ Leading a team to ensure sound
Liquidity Risk Management activities and compliance with all
related management and regulatory requirements, including
projecting cash inflows and outflows under a variety of scenarios
and management of Early Warning Indicators and Contingent Funding
Plan activities.+ Evaluating the liquidity costs, benefits, and
risks of each new business line and each new product that could
have a significant effect on the company's liquidity risk profile.+
Leading all Committee and governance related efforts surrounding
liquidity risk and investments activities. This includes leading
discussions with internal and external oversight teams and
coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams such as,
Controllership, Tax, Risk, and GCO.+ Managing the production of
liquidity management reports and design and implementation of new
capabilities.+ Developing and recommending investment frameworks
and strategies that are consistent with the objectives of the
Company's multiple investment portfolios.+ Collaborating with
colleagues across multiple disciplines (Treasury, Corporate
Planning, Risk, Business Units, etc.) to define and execute
investment activities.+ Leading all ongoing monitoring activities
for the portfolios and provide insights to senior management and
the Board.+ Leading, motivating and developing a team of Treasury
professionals to accomplish goals while enhancing employee
engagement, development, and diversity.+ Serving as a member of
AXP's Treasury Management Team ensuring that the Treasury
organization includes the people, processes, and capabilities to
remain successful.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications**+
Successful track record as a finance leader, preferably with
liquidity risk and/or liquidity management experience, capable of
leading and developing a highly motivated team.+ Outstanding
written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing
complex information, communicating key messages and influencing
senior management thinking.+ Strong knowledge of compliance,
regulatory and control environments.+ Self-starter with the ability
to manage multiple priorities effectively and a record of driving
results.+ Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred.American Express
