patients. This is what you will do: The Senior Manager, Omnichannel
Copy will be responsible for developing and writing the messages
that are deployed across Alexion's digital ecosystems, providing
guidance to others on the team, and helping to optimize our content
creation and deployment systems. - You'll use your deep
pharmaceutical marketing writing skills and experience to
conceptualize and execute across the full range of digital content
delivery systems. You'll apply your high creative standards to your
own work and that of others on the team. And you'll work as part of
a team seeking to innovate a new process for creating and deploying
modular content, so that Alexion can optimize communications with
its core audiences and deliver personalized content via the right
channel at the right time. This role is approximately 60%
individual contributor and 40% leadership/operations. The role
reports to the Associate Director, Content Capabilities and
Creative Services. You will be responsible for: Copy/Content
- You'll conceptualize, write, and execute branded and unbranded
digital marketing assets for advertising, social media, websites,
and other channels as needed in up to two therapeutic areas
(TAs)
- You'll ensure that deliverables contain compelling,
well-written, and actionable messages that align with strategic
objectives from marketing clients, existing brand standards as
created by agencies of record, and MLR guidelines
- You'll document the required, and previously approved,
references to support each claim in each asset you create
- You'll collaborate with Omnichannel Strategists and marketing
partners on strategy, development of customer journeys, and
creation of message maps.
- You'll participate in meetings and stand-ups with strategists,
other creative team members, marketers, and other stakeholders as
needed to align on requirements and timing of deliverables
- You'll present work to marketers in a professional manner,
articulating a rationale for your choices and incorporate feedback
gracefully
- You'll attend PRC meetings where your work is reviewed and
participate in discussions as needed.
- You'll maintain a working knowledge of the content requirements
and limitations of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other
platforms as needed Copy Leadership and Operations
- You'll provide guidance to writers across the team to ensure
that their work is on strategy, compelling, well-written, aligned
with brand standards, and meets MLR objectives
- You'll help ensure consistency across TAs/brands of language
used in describing disease states, claims, and common Alexion
services
- You'll help to create and implement standards and best
practices across the Omni team in areas such as subject lines,
sender profiles, calls to action, and others, to ensure a
consistent user experience
- You'll help to hire and onboard new contract writers, as
needed
- You'll work with the Associate Director, Content, and the
larger Omnichannel leadership team, as well as IT and other
stakeholders, to help transform Alexion's content production and
management processes into a modular content framework that delivers
highly personalized, engaging content, at scale. You will need to
have:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Pharmaceutical industry experience, either in-house or at an
agency
- Minimum 6 years of experience creating digital marketing
campaigns across multiple channels
- A digital portfolio of relevant work demonstrating proficiency
in the requirements of the role
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing teams,
strategists, and designers to translate brand strategies into
compelling, effective, accessible, content
- Top-tier skills in writing, grammar, and syntax
- Experience providing writing guidance and coaching to
others
- Experience with Veeva Vault Promo Mats, including reference
linking
- Demonstrated proficiency in Word and PPT
- Flexibility and an openness to new ideas and feedback
- Comfort level managing multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office

- Prior experience with agile marketing methodologies
- Experience managing or mentoring other writers
- Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
