Senior Product Manager is responsible for supporting the Principal
Product Manager related to product vision and product roadmap. The
Senior Product Manager will also work with team leadership to
define scope, priorities and timelines for updating existing
products and delivering new products and features according to Duck
Creek's product roadmap. The role works closely with product
management, product engineering, Customers, and implementation
partners.
- Responsible for the hands-on definition of the product
requirements and the prioritization process, including: - Assisting
with the managing of product backlog and tracking of market
demand
- Develops use cases, business scenarios, user personas and other
design artifacts to support requirements and development
specifications
- Manages product release schedules and works with Principal
Product Manager and Engineering to ensure releases are on time and
issues are managed and resolved
- Supports development of training, documentation, and tools as
required
- Serves as the touch point and provides product related
expertise for activities managed by other teams
- Interfaces directly with customers in representing product. May
represent the Principal Product Manager in presenting the present
product vision and direction, when the Principal Product Manager is
unavailable for these interactions.
- Operates with no required supervision in a complex
environment
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new
or special assignments
- May act as a team lead and coordinate activities of team
members.
- Frequently interacts with peers, equivalent level leaders and
senior leaders on cross-functional matters.
- Communicates with various management levels regarding specific
phases of an operation or project.
- Anticipates customer needs to influence the development of
solutions.
- Stays current on market trends as related to the assigned
product(s)
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.WHAT
YOU'VE DONEEducation and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, or higher education level, or its foreign
equivalent, in a software engineering/computer related field.
- 12-16 years of related professional experience
- And/or Master's degree plus minimum of 10 year's related
professional experience.Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or
Abilities:
- Deep understanding of P&C insurance company workflows and
processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize large
datasets into meaningful insights
- High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management, planning and organizational skills,
including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a
fast-paced environment
- Exceptional and proven written and verbal communication
skills
- Unwavering attention to detail
- Able to work effectively across functional groups & with
minimal supervision. Proven ability to influence cross-functional
teams without formal authority. Ability to work as part of a
team
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
without sacrificing quality or impacting deadlines
- Basic understanding of SaaS solutions and UX designOther
