variety of retail partners. What You'll Be Doing: Samsonite is
looking for a dynamic, consumer-centric, and data-driven Director
of E-Commerce that will support the growth of our digital
businesses and strategies. Reporting to the VP, Marketing &
Ecommerce you will help drive the business by ensuring our
e-commerce strategies and plans are operationalized and executed
with excellence. This role will help drive consumer experience
strategy and road mapping, budget planning, and e-commerce
analytics. In collaboration with merchandising, marketing,
operations, and creative, this role will drive digital strategies
that deliver top and bottom line growth across our portfolio of
websites in North America. The ideal candidate is passionate about
travel and is enthusiastic about achieving digital excellence. You
will work on-site 4 days per week with the opportunity to work
remotely one day per week.
- Creates cohesive plans and effectively operationalizes
e-commerce business, driving sales and increasing conversion for
all sites and channels
- Develops e-commerce consumer experience roadmap, prioritizing
and leading development of new site functionality, infrastructure,
and services
- Owns and drives relationships with key partners and vendors to
ensure Samsonite delivers a best-in-class experience for our
consumers
- Ensure teams are actively applying customer insights and
business performance data to the development of strategic and
tactical direction
- Manages all onsite content and optimization ensuring a
frictionless experience, pushing us toward what is next
- Stays current on industry best practices, assessing and
communicating their potential impact on the business
- Deliver annual team resource, expense, and performance plans in
support of e-commerce goals and objectives
- Ensure effective negotiations with vendors and that contractual
performance standards are met or exceeded
- Build capacity of individuals and teams through effective
employee development, involvement, communication, and supervision
efforts We're Excited If You Have:
- 7+ years' experience leading e-commerce businesses with strong
digital competency
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
preferred
- Experience leading onsite optimization and platform
strategies/roadmaps
- Solid project management skills with ability to prioritize and
manage trade-offs for delivery of existing projects while
concurrently planning future projects
- Data driven and consumer obsessed
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, often ambiguous
