Manager in Training (MIT) is responsible for developing and
applying the skills learned in the MIT program to effectively
manage the overall appearance and operation of the store. This
position continues to provide MOMs remarkable Customer Service and
is storewide cross trained to make sure store shelves are properly
stocked and departments receive support as needed. In addition, the
MIT will supervise MOMs Team Members in completion of these tasks.
MOMs departments may include: Front End, Grocery, Wellness,
Produce, Naked Lunch/Bakeshop. This position is located in MOMs
stores.Responsibilities:
Complete MOMs Manager In Training
(MIT) Program in order to successfully lead the storeOpen and/or
close the storeIdentify and escalate issues appropriately such as
customer issues, data, maintenance, product concerns, and employee
concernsResponsible for proper cash handlingSupervise MOMs Team
Members in all areas of the stores as well as completing store
tasksPractice exceptional customer service including patience,
active listening and problem solvingGreet customers, answer their
questions and help them find products and/or make
recommendationsStock shelves and displays as assignedUnpack store
deliveries and organize the stockroomMake sure all products are
fresh and within the expiration dateClean and sanitize assigned
areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dustingFollow the company's
operational policies and procedures within the storeAssist in
various store departments as needed, including cashiering and
baggingCollaborate with coworkers across store departments in order
to complete assigned tasksComplete required training including HIVE
modulesOther duties as assignedRequirements:
1-2 years experience in related
retail fieldDependable and reliable, having the ability to work a
flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including
nights, weekends and holidaysStrong customer service skills,
including patience and active listening, to ensure customer feel
heard and helpedPositive attitude and ability to embody our company
valuesGood communication skills; the ability to take
direction/feedback and participate in a team environmentAbility to
prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected
demands
