SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER, School of Medicine, General Internal Medicine Tracking Code 22500581831217 Job Description The Section of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is the largest Section within the Department of Medicine and is, indeed, larger than many other Departments on the medical campus. The Section has well over 100 clinical faculty members, numerous research staff and 13 other staff providing administrative, medical writing, grant management, research operations and fellowship program coordination support. In addition to a sizable research portfolio, GIM is a complex group with faculty working in various settings. This position will work closely with the Senior Administrative Director to manage various projects, ensure that staff are well trained, supported and working to the fullest extent of their job descriptions, focus on improving overall morale and supporting work that optimizes revenue and manages expenses. Reporting directly to the Senior Administrative Director, the Senior Administrative Manager will provide various levels and types of support to the Section of General Internal Medicine. This position will supervise members of the Section's administrative team and work to optimize their productivity, professional development and engagement. This individual is responsible for pulling and sharing data with faculty and clinic leadership. Partnering with the Senior AD, the Senior Administrative Manager will work to streamline the Section's finances and improve expense management. This position will be essential to the overall success and growth of the Section. Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's in business administration or healthcare administration preferred
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience required
  • 8-10 years of work experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills are essential
