The RoleThe Managed Solutions Product Area is looking for a customer-centric leader to head the Equity Separately Managed Account (SMA) offering, which includes Direct Indexing solutions, as well as Active Equity SMAs. and will lead a team of product managers focused on growing and retaining our Equity SMA business offered through our Wealth Management Advisor Channel.You are an energetic, passionate leader who embodies Fidelity s leadership principles of customer obsession, working collaboratively and valuing pace over perfection. You have executive presence and add thought leadership value at all levels of the organization.The Expertise and Skills You BringAs a Product Team Leader you will:

  • Identify and drive initiatives aimed at growing direct indexing and active equity SMA assets and accounts, helping the Managed Solutions Product Area achieve its sales, retention and customer penetration goals
  • Serve as a visible and experienced leader and highly productive member of the Managed Solutions Extended Leadership Team, defining and executing the vision for the work of your team
  • Collaborate with distribution teams to collect voice of client & associate, including feedback on existing products & experiences, as well as future product development opportunities.
  • Drive product development efforts, including business case development, business requirements, end-to-end customer experience, and go-to-market implementation.
  • Work with marketing and client development teams to craft client-facing & advisor facing marketing and sales collateral
  • Identify areas to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace, and identify strategic work for the team to address the Managed Solutions Product Area s points of competitive weakness, or enhance the existing strengths in the marketplace
  • Drive thought leadership and lead the team in solution brainstorming and help create an environment of continual innovation. Understanding of industry trends and dynamics.
  • Provide a voice at the table with senior leaders to discuss, debate, challenge, and influence key strategic decisions.
  • Impact and influence senior management in key decisions that would drive Fidelity s strategic advantage in the Managed Solutions space, especially as it relates to Equity SMAs
  • Drive product development efforts, including business case development, business requirements, end-to-end customer experience, and go-to-market implementation.
  • Work with our business partners to create optimal associate and client experiences that address the needs and pain points of our equity SMA clients
  • Serve as primary point of contact for designated category/asset class of SMA products; you will advocate for and incrementally improve your existing product line Skills & Experience
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams focused on delivering customer value and business results
    • 10+ years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, product development and/or product strategy roles; 15 years of overall work experience
    • Strong knowledge of Equity investments, markets, instruments and solutions;
    • Experience with managed accounts is strongly preferred; MBA, CFA and/or CFP designation a plus
    • Product Management expertise deep understanding all aspects of a given product line (sales trends, customer profile, competitive landscape, product economics, distribution dynamics, performance and risk characteristics for each product, operational risks)
    • Cross-functional leadership and outstanding collaboration skills to navigate a matrixed environment with a range of priorities and perspectives across investment teams, distribution leaders, legal, risk, and compliance
    • Influencing skills required along with confirmed ability to successfully engage with all levels of management across many areas.
    • Leadership and team management skills
    • Consistent record of working with uncertainty in building and delivering a fast-growing business with multiple priorities, achieve breakthroughs, and consistently deliver business results
    • Knowledge of delivery channels and experience taking new products/solutions to market
    • Understanding of digital solutions and passion for leveraging digital whenever appropriate to drive customer ease of use and early loyalty
    • Synthesizing complex data from multiple, disparate sources and present relevant insights and themes in a simple/clear way
    • FINRA Series 7 license required
    • FINRA Series 24 license preferred but may be obtained within one year of hireThe Team The VP, Equity SMA Team Leader will report to the Head of Managed Solutions Product. As a Product Team Leader, you will collaborate with the Head of Managed Solutions Product, your other Product Team leaders, Squad Leaders within the Managed Solutions Product Area and our business partners in Asset Management, Distribution and Wealth Management, to lead new Equity SMA growth initiatives that meet the growing needs of our clients, while also continuously improving upon our existing Equity SMA offering to better serve our clients and client facing associates.Please see below for the salary range for work locations in Colorado only:N/A
