(SALT) practice is rapidly growing, and we are looking to expand
our team to serve an even broader base of clients.Function of the
role:Leading an energetic, ambitious, and supportive team, the
primary focus of the role will be to assist businesses in
navigating the complexities of their State & Local Tax affairs.
Furthermore, you will meet with clients who operate across state
lines, assist them by identifying and determining State & Local Tax
exposures and opportunities, subsequently assisting them in
rectifying these exposures and/or capitalizing on these
opportunities.This is no ordinary SALT Team Lead role. The
successful candidate will be able to provide strategic input and
play a pivotal role in taking this exciting product offering to new

matchMain Responsibilities will include:Manage a team of SALT
Consultants, overseeing the client delivery process from initiation
to completion, undertaking all necessary quality control tasks to
maintain the highest standard of service delivery.Provide excellent
client service to multi-state companies, direct communication with
clients across the following services: Nexus studies across
multiple state tax types, including sales & use tax, state
income/franchise tax, and payroll (employment) tax, excise tax, and
others Reverse Sales & Use Tax Audits. Prepare Voluntary Disclosure
Agreements, and negotiate the terms of these agreements with the
relevant state authorities. Other SALT services as required,
including drafting private letter ruling requests, exemptions
certificates, state tax registrations, and assistance with
state-driven audit defense tasks. Manage client relationships,
transitioning clients from one SALT service to another, identifying
additional opportunities to assist.Maintain up to date knowledge of
state and local tax case law. Planning, executing, directing, and
completing projects and managing to budget within a given
timeline.Preparing SALT revenue forecasts for Senior Leadership on
a bi-annual basis.Support and provide strategic guidance to the
sales and marketing departments, periodically joining SALT-related
calls to provide subject matter expertise.Attend and run internal
and external SALT webinars, conferences, and other events.Develop
SALT thought leadership content, contributing to our Website blog
and other social media channels.Requirements: Desired experience
and skills:7+ years of State & Local Tax consulting experience
Bachelor's degree, CPA or JD, with Big 4 or large regional
accounting firm experience preferred;Advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Excel and excellent knowledge other MS Office
applications.Experience dealing with state taxing authorities,
either for sales and use tax or income/franchise tax
matters.Experience dealing with Unclaimed Property consulting is
preferred.Experience drafting private letter ruling
requests.Experience working with workflow management software tools
and CRMs.Strong managerial experience in remote and hybrid work
