OverviewUnion Park Capital is a private equity firm based on Boston, MA. - The firm has a highly refined buy-and-build strategy focused solely on lower middle-market Industrial Technology companies. Companies in this target sector provide products and services that are utilized in technical, application specific industrial environments. - -We pursue equity investments of between $10 million and $50 million, generally focusing on businesses with $10 million to $75 million in revenue. The investment strategy focuses on under-managed businesses in fragmented markets where we can partner with management teams to cultivate businesses through a combination of organic growth and careful strategic add-on acquisitions. -Representing the Board of Directors at Union Park, The VP, Finance is a leader energized by transforming inefficient and disparate finance controls and processes across multiple international acquisitions into simple and efficient finance operations. The VP, Finance provides interim leadership ahead of CFO placements and leadership support for incumbent CFOs to drive automated reporting in partnership with internal and external resources.Responsibilities

Provides interim finance leadership creating standardized and streamlined policies ahead of CFO placement.Standardized chart of accountsStandardized cost accounting Implements harmonized and efficient finance processes to support audits and close the books in an easier, simpler and faster way.Implements consolidation and FP&A automation tools (Planful or Anaplan)Creates standard forecast reporting inclusive of cash management, treasury, debt covenants and M&A integration.Collaborates with Union Park Capital Data Engineer to institutionalize the playbook for UPC-level reportingCollaborates with UPC Ops Resource team to define and implement "portfolio health" KPIs with dashboard and review cadenceQualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or Accounting8+ years of experience Prior experience in manufacturing finance and accounting environment with strong knowledge of cost accounting, BoMs and workforce planning accounting. Strong preference for international experienceKnowledge of common ERP and consolidation tools (Netsuite, Epicor, Dynamics, Planful, Anaplan)Drive to standardize and automate as much as possible.Experience with M&A Integration - Consulting or Private Equity experience preferred.Process mindedness with excellent collaboration and presentation skillStrong preference for location in Greater Boston but consideration will be given to remote for the right candidatesPowered by JazzHR
