Finance & Operations is responsible for day-to-day financial
management and oversight, information technology systems, and
general operations. The Director of Finance & Operations will work
with individuals at varying levels of the organization to ensure
implementation of controls and processes in alignment with the
organization's mission and vision. The position will assist and
work closely with the Bookkeeper and Chief Financial & Operating
Officer.Status: Full-Time Salaried (40 hours/week), ExemptStart
Date: March 2023Schedule:Hybrid, Monday-Friday, some weekday and

SchoolResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesFinancial and Budget
Management
- Work closely with the Bookkeeper and CFOO to ensure accurate
monthly reconciliation of significant General Ledger accounts i.e.,
cash, line of credit and endowment accounts
- Ensure that the organization and its programs have strong
internal accounting controls in place to support the creation and
implementation of a sound financial strategy along with
high-quality financial systems and reporting
- Manage payables and receivables for the organization
- Support CFOO in creation of accurate and timely financial
reports for board reporting, grant reporting, and other ad-hoc
reporting
- Collaborate with staff and support the CFOO in a comprehensive
annual budgeting process
- Support annual audit process with independent auditors and
coordinate the necessary documentation and financial reports to
support proper testing and analyses of accounts
- Direct cash management analysis and forecasting as well as
project-based and departmental accounting
- Work with the Programs team to collect and monitor financial
data related to operational qualityOperations
- Oversee the information technology operations of the
organization through assessing needs and implementing a plan that
provides data integrity, proper server management, and safe
electronic communications and transactions.
- Manage organizational risk, including ensuring that appropriate
compliance systems are in place and steps are taken to reduce risks
related to finance, safety, labor relations, and other related
functions
- Oversee administrative systems and processes to enable
efficient workflow and management across CMCB departments
- Ensure that all facility utilities are operational and
maintained in support of all programs/daily operations and that the
facility is compliant in accordance with local, state, and federal
guidelines
- Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained in
support of all programs and daily operations
- Additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial & Operating
OfficerTeam Management

customer serviceJob Qualifications & RequirementsQualifications
- Minimum of three years experience working in nonprofits and/or
schools or other equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge and experience in Non-Profit Financial Management
and/or Accounting and Reporting
- Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. as CMCB
is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
at this time
- Must be able to comply with company-wide COVID-19 vaccination
verification or regular twice-weekly testing requirement
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong
interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish and promote good working relationships
with colleagues, faculty, administrators, board members, families,
and vendors
- Must possess strong critical thinking skills with the ability
to effectively prioritize.
- Proven ability to work in a changing organization and make
informed decisions in the context of strategic organizational goals
and policies
- Must have the ability to handle confidential materials with
discretion
- Knowledge and experience with technology assessment planning
and implementation
- Proficiency in computer hardware (Mac and PC), software
programs (Microsoft Office), payroll software (Insperity
preferred), CRM's, and accounting/financial software
(QuickBooks)
- Strong interest in and commitment to the artsPreferred
- Fluency in Spanish, French Creole, and/or Chinese
(Mandarin/Cantonese) is highly desirable
- General knowledge of and/or experience in music, the arts,
education and public school settingsPhysical DemandsWhile
performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to
remain in a stationary position 50-75% of the time. They will need
to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity
machinery as well as occasionally position themselves to maintain
and inspect technology, including under the desks and in the server
closet.Compensation and Benefits$55,000 to $60,000 commensurate
