Founded 26 years ago in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, The Clubhouse Network supports community-based Clubhouses around the world by providing start-up support, professional development, new technology innovations, evaluation and assessment, partnership opportunities, and access to an online community for youth, mentors, and staff. The Clubhouse Network also operates the "Flagship" Clubhouse, a creative out-of-school learning environment where teens work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.
Summary Statement:
The Youth Leadership Program Manager is responsible for designing and overseeing programs that support youth in Clubhouses to gain leadership skills. They will manage the Youth Activism and Advocacy Program, assisting Clubhouses in empowering young people to think critically about social justice issues and create change in their communities. They will identify and develop political education resources to help young people gain the skills and analysis to address community problems and create positive solutions. Additionally, they will manage the International Clubhouse Alumni Program by increasing awareness, visibility and participation among the global alumni community. They will identify leadership opportunities and other resources for alumni, and document alumni accomplishments to enhance our brand awareness. On a biannual basis, they will design, plan, and assist in managing The Clubhouse Network's signature youth leadership experience: a Teen Summit for 300+ youth and chaperones, managing content, collaborations, vendor relations, budget.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office required.
Responsibilities:

• Manage the Youth Activism and Advocacy grant process, including leading the grantee selection process, managing quarterly progress check-ins with individual grantees.
  
• Identify and design social justice resources and materials that address systemic racism and other forms of oppression to support Clubhouse staff, mentors, and youth in planning and developing youth advocacy and activism campaigns.
  
• Cultivate and oversee a community of youth-driven activism across the Clubhouse Network and foster partnerships with other organizations engaged in this work.
  
• Identify and create resources and opportunities to support Clubhouse Coordinators to facilitate local alumni chapters and local youth leadership councils. Serve as an advocate for the alumni / youth leadership community by drawing on best practices from around the Network
  
• Design and identify leadership and community building opportunities for the alumni community, including but not limited to, internships, job connections, summits, regional meetings, and an alumni advisory board.
  
• Track, document and disseminate the accomplishments of alumni, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Manager to enhance our brand awareness to prospective funders, community leaders, and policymakers. Conduct data management and outreach efforts for the alumni community.
  
• Design, plan and manage an in-person, youth leadership experience: a biannual Teen Summit for 300+ youth and chaperones. Manage content, collaborations, vendor relations, $500K+ budget, and all staff and youth to ensure a safe, productive, impactful leadership experience for all.
  
• Play an active role in Network events, programs, and initiatives
  
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  
  Required Skills and Experience:
  
  • 
    
  • 3- 4 years of project management experience managing multiple project components with overlapping deadlines, on-time, and on-budget.
    
  • Experience with community organizing, particularly helping young people explore systemic problems and helping adults support youth organizing
    
  • Evidence of commitment and experience advancing the Clubhouse mission, including youth leadership development, social justice action, and racial equity and inclusion.
    
  • Experience with community-based organizations, in particular non-profit educational programs reaching youth from under-served communities.
    
  • Proven ability to influence and lead through collaboration and to develop the leadership of young people
    
  • Familiarity with databases, Microsoft mail-merge tools, online registration websites and event management platforms as well as tracking & organizing systems preferred. Examples: Salesforce, Jotform, Survey Monkey
    
  • Ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities; excellent team-building and communication skills.
    
  • Knowledge of traditions and community standards and practices across multiple cultures.
