Chewy is seeking a Senior Manager of DEI Employee Resource Groups . The role will be located in one of Chewy's primary hubs - Plantation, FL; Bellevue, WA; Minneapolis, MN; Boston, MA. Relocation assistance may be available. The Senior Manager of DEI, Employee Resource Groups role ensures alignment and integration of the Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) strategic plans and programming by leading, partnering, and consulting primarily with the team members who are volunteering as Enterprise Leadership Teams of our 5 TMRGs and any future resource groups that may be formed.
What You'll Do:



  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the volunteer leaders of the TMRGs, Executive Sponsors, and other key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor in the TMRG space and beyond


  • Establish a work and partnership model for the TMRGs that is supportive of our employees' needs, business priorities, and diversity, equity, and inclusion aspirations


  • Ensure all TMRG efforts are aligned with the company's overall DEI imperatives and other Chewy strategies


  • In collaboration with the Enterprise Leadership Teams of each TMRG, this role program manages the creation of TMRG activities and annual cultural heritage/days of note events like Black History Month, Women's History Month, Pride Month, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, and approximately 15 other significant months/days of note


  • Partner with the Associate Director of DEI who manages all Enterprise-wide DEI events to assure alignment with TMRG initiatives


  • Design mechanisms for feedback from TMRG leaders and members at designated times. Combine that feedback with information gathered through Fetching Feedback surveys, pulse surveys and exit surveys to make informed decisions and strategies


  • Maintain and continually add to the TMRG Playbook that clarifies roles, provides guidance and guardrails around process and standard operating procedures that supports the volunteer enterprise leaders and members


  • Further set the strategy and implementation for TMRG governance


  • Ensure that TMRG leaders collaborate, network, share processes, and learn from each other by hosting regularly scheduled TMRG meetings and acting as a conduit between all TMRGs


  • Develop and socialize the resourcing and prioritization required to continue to mature the TMRG program to support specific business goals like furthering diverse recruiting, driving social impact, recommending informed changes to business operations, and evolution of Chewy's culture


  • Create partnerships with several Chewy teams including but not limited to: Talent, Learning and Development, Human Resources Business Partners, Life@Chewy, Health and Wellness and Chewy Gives Back leveraging events, initiatives, and strategies into a cohesive team member experience


  • Responsible for evaluating/overseeing the need for new TMRGs


  • Create, maintain, and manage budget approval process


  • Manage external sponsorships programs aligned with each of the TMRGs


  • Manage and enhance the TMRG Platform (Teleskope) to maintain membership database, events, TMRG news, and provide metrics as needed to provide relevant data analysis and recommendations


  • Create and execute the Annual TMRG Enterprise Leadership Summit held in October
    What You'll Need:


  • 7+ years' experience and deep expertise leading Employee Resource Groups as the Program Manager


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience


  • Extensive experience with volunteer programs and empowering volunteers


  • Ability to work across different functions and build relationships with stakeholders and champions


  • Experience designing data-driven programs and managing dynamic budgets


  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentations to internal and external audiences


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking, re-prioritizing projects and communicating priority updates to stakeholders


  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity: cultural, ethnic, racial, disability, gender, generational, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other characteristics


  • Travel expectation is 25%
