Position Description:\u00A0\u00A0Builds and maintains digital product offerings and custom client software solutions according to Agile methodologies. Collaborates across the enterprise to establish team standards, influence strategic technical decisions, set up work priorities, and develop custom client software solutions. Implements and adopts modern technologies to build and deliver innovative end-user experiences and tools. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.\u00A0\u00A0Primary Responsibilities:\u00A0\u00A0

  • Ensures talent composition aligns with business priorities.\u00A0\u00A0
    • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.\u00A0\u00A0
    • Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.\u00A0\u00A0
    • Participates in high-level, cross- functional architecture design teams.\u00A0\u00A0
    • Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.\u00A0\u00A0
    • Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.\u00A0
      • Consults on deployment of major project deliverables.\u00A0\u00A0
      • Consults on the documentation of major technology application.\u00A0\u00A0
      • Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.\u00A0
      • Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.\u00A0
      • Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.\u00A0\u00A0
        • Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.\u00A0\u00A0
        • Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.\u00A0\u00A0
        • Advises senior management on technical strategy.\u00A0\u00A0
        • Researches and recommends new technologies.\u00A0\u00A0
        • Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.\u00A0
          • Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.\u00A0\u00A0

          • Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.\u00A0\u00A0Education and Experience:\u00A0\u00A0Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience designing and developing enterprise distributed systems.\u00A0\u00A0Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience designing and developing enterprise distributed systems.\u00A0\u00A0Skills and Knowledge:\u00A0\u00A0Candidate must also possess:\u00A0\u00A0
            • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) designing and developing distributed, fault tolerant, high throughput portfolio construction applications using multi-asset class tax aware investment strategies and portfolio optimization engines; developing middle-tier Web services that interact with complex data models on Oracle RAC relational databases -- using PLSQL stored procedures, dimensional modelling, and myBatis/iBatis frameworks (Java-Spring).\u00A0
              • DE developing full-stack, vertically aligned stories for N-tier applications -- gathering complex requirements for issues and navigating large inter-connected data models -- using SQL in an investment management domain; transitioning inter-connected data through a Java/Spring based mid-tier, to HTTP and message based endpoints using Kafka; creating working solutions, using Java and Spring based mid-tiers, ETL processes (Informatica), and job schedulers (Autosys); and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for application design use.\u00A0
              • DE designing and developing Java based portfolio construction and management applications --performing test automation (using Spock/Cucumber) per requirements, source code management (using Git and Maven), CI/CD onto AWS (EC2) platform, scalable messaging (using Kinesis/Kafka), AWS supported storage (using Dynamo and S3), and log aggregation(using Splunk, Cloud watch, and Datadog) -- according to Agile methodologies.\u00A0
