• 10 - 15 years experience in financial services; ideally in research, business strategy or technology consulting
• Deep understanding of intermediary market trends, the competitive landscape, advisor practice models, and the middle, back-office services (e.g. clearing, custody, capital markets) they need
• Familiar with various market, competitor, and client research techniques and industry data sources used to advise strategic decisions
• MBA preferred
• Experience leading and managing a teamThe Purpose of Your RoleAs part of the leadership team, the VP, Market & Business Intelligence: will help set our team s vision, align, integrate, and develop the resources of a small team creating research that advises all aspects of clearing and custody business, from product development to enhancing the client experience. Your primary business partners will be Relationship Management, FI Client Experience, and Product & Practice Consulting as our research helps Fidelity Institutional understand and adapt to the evolving competitive landscape and the changing business needs of our clients.The Skills You Bring

    • Build relationships and raise the visibility of our research team through proactive engagement with new and existing business partners
    • Help create, communicate, and implement our team s vision, values and operating model that aligns and informs Fidelity s key initiatives
    • Explore innovative ideas by using existing team skills and new data sources, tools, techniques to provide more predictive and future-leaning insights
    • Synthesize quantitative/qualitative intelligence and prepare comprehensive research studies on various initiatives; such studies would include market size, growth, structure, key players, barriers to entry, distribution models, competitive advantages/disadvantages
