Knowledge and Experience
- Post graduate (Masters level) qualification in Human Factors
(preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Science / Psychology / Human Factors
- 5+ years managing Human Factors team in an operational
transportation environment
- 3+ training support and delivery
- Training design and delivery
- Experience producing Human Factors Test Plans Skills:
- Can build comprehensive understanding of railroad operations
and maintenance, with proven ability to successfully implement
change in a multi-unionized environment----
- Adapts to innovative technologies and tools that create
efficiency and accelerate change--
- --Demonstrates capability to represent Keolis as a credible
ambassador to the client, and senior stakeholders--
- Influences wider organizational culture through systemic,
sustainable approaches----
- --Lead change programs and communicate with
influence/effectiveness
- --Key personal traits: forward thinking, proactive, resilient,
sound judgement, innovative where required, driven by a relentless
pursuit of excellence--
- Possesses excellent written, verbal, communication,
interpersonal, and presentational skills-- --Key Accountabilities
(Essential Job Duties): Human Factors Related Training
- Develop an operational plan (and associated governance) for the
introduction of an appropriate suite of Human Factors related
training within the business units
- Develop associated curriculum for those trainings
- Lead and track training Safety, Security, Quality & Environment
Training Program
- Build and establish the governance for the conduct of the above
mentioned training
- --Develop and maintain a database of required training for the
above mentioned departments
- --Lead a team of staff to ensure that quality training is being
provided to business units
- Prioritize, where appropriate, resource allocation for all
subject training
- Ensure that all training has a curriculum, training materials,
and feedback mechanism Program Management
- --Ensure that 49 CFR Part 243 submissions are made for all
business units
- Oversee the conversion of the 49 CFR Part 217 program to a
competency management system Organizational
- This role may be required to perform other functions under the
direction of Vice President Safety, Security, Quality &
Environment.
- Promotes the use of a process approach and risk-based
thinking--
- Improves and controls processes within functional areas of the
business --Working Conditions (including Physical Demands)
- This position can expect to spend up to 20% outdoors or in
facilities across the network.
- --The nature of operations will expose the candidate to loud
noise, extreme temperatures, and possible fatalities.
- Essential Physical Requirements - able to type, climb, traverse
uneven surfaces.
- Travel Requirements - position requires travel within
Massachusetts and Rhode Island to all facilities across the
network.
- Some out-of-office hours work may be required. Additional
