OnsiteCollins Aerospace, an RTX company is a world leader in advanced communication systems and is responsible for providing systems to all branches of the US military. *The Protected Communications Systems Hardware Department within the Collins Mission Systems organization has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Section Manager to join our team. *Manager to lead one of the Mechanical Engineering and Design Sections within the Protected Communications Systems Hardware Department.
*Lead approximately 15 mechanical engineers
--- Work with other Mechanical and Electrical Section Managers and Leads
--- Review performance and career development of all members of the section
--- Perform Key roles on programs and perform special assignments as needed
--- Interface with other mechanical managers, engineers, designers, and structural/thermal analysts, as well as managers and engineers from other disciplines, along with program management and external customers
*Ability to apply mechanical engineering knowledge to solve complex design problems
--- Ability to interact productively with other team members across various disciplines, including systems engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management
--- Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting
--- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
--- *ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance or HIGHER REQUIRED*
--- S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
--- S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
*Working knowledge of military and commercial design, materials, and process specifications
--- Able to identify and communicate technical issues and risks that may impact cost, schedule, or other aspects of product design
--- Experience in bid and proposal development and project planning
--- Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
--- Experience in a product data management environment (PTC Windchill)
--- Experience with RTX policies and processes

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
