Primary Responsibilities Manage a staff of 14 responsible for all servicing and asset management functions on a 1,200-loan portfolio, including 50 constructions loans. Manage relationships and daily interaction with HUD, Ginnie Mae and warehouse banks. Monitor compliance with loan documents, FHA & Ginnie Mae regulations and reporting requirements; stay up to date on changes in regulatory requirements. Oversight of all permanent loan servicing functions, including loan boarding; billing and collections; escrow administration of tax, insurance, MIP, replacement reserve, repair, working capital, operating deficit and other account types; escrow analysis; letter of credit administration; UCC continuations; review and approval of payoffs; filing mortgage releases and discharges. Oversight of all construction loan servicing and asset management functions, including review and processing of monthly draws; change orders; coordination with tax credit investors, bridge lenders, grant providers and bond trustees; issuance and settlement of Ginnie Mae MBS and payoff of warehouse advances; final endorsements / conversions to permanent loans; lease-up monitoring through stabilization; internal projections and reporting. Oversight of all asset management functions, including: underwriting and processing loan assumptions, healthcare facility operator changes, accounts receivable financing, management changes, easements, partial releases and other property transactions; collection and analysis of quarterly and annual financial statements; inspection scheduling and follow up; watchlist management; default management including structuring, negotiating, processing and closing loan modifications and partial payments of claim. Manage all aspects of portfolio acquisitions, including due diligence, integration / onboarding, loan document assignments and pool recertifications. Work with Servicing management team on department-wide initiatives. Manage, train and mentor staff members. Handle additional projects as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field 10+ years’ experience in loan servicing or asset management for commercial properties. Prior HUD experience strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Management experience required. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to approach problems logically while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Proficient in the use of all MS Office products, Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong work ethic to meet daily challenges of a fast-paced environment.
