Job Description:
Designs and develops tables, views, SQL queries, stored
procedures, function, and complex PL/SQL packages for ETL. Designs,
develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains, and tests software
applications that support business units or functions, and programs
solutions that involve diverse development platforms, software,
hardware, technologies, and tools. Participates in the design,
development, and implementation of complex applications. Translates
business requirements into technical design specifications.
Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple
software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Interacts with Business SME's on requirements gathering. Interprets business problems and translates them into technical
solutions. Participates in improving the productivity and quality of the
development process. Creates documents and implements standards and modeling to
monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of database and
code programs. Derives logical processes on technical platforms. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Completes assigned development work as per defined
timelines. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing data warehouse and software development,
using Machine Learning (ML) and Cloud based solutions. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience performing data warehouse and software
development, using Machine Learning (ML) and Cloud based
solutions. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing SQL querying and
performance tuning in a financial service industry. DE crafting relation databases (Oracle 12c) and performing data
modeling, development, and manipulation of SQL and PL/SQL, using
Oracle SQL developer tool. DE performing source code management and version control for
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to
process financial industry data using DevOps tools (git-stash,
Jenkins, and Jira). DE providing solutions for application design and implementation
