Job Description:

Develops, enhances, and deploys software, using Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica, Oracle Apex, and Tableau. Supports and builds Oracle Apex applications. Develops BI reports using data visualization tools -- Tableau. Writes relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning queries, using SQL plans and XPLANs. Enhances productivity through Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (Cl/CD). Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborates with onshore and offshore stakeholders.

Comprehends and translates business requirements into technical specifications.

Identifies, communicates, and mitigates risks.

Develops and supports batch processes.

Develops release plans, and content and delivery schedules.

Provides implementation and operational support for component customers.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Creates technical, test case, transition, and operational documents

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Supports production systems to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing financial research and investment decision-making software applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of developing financial research and investment decision-making software applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrate Expertise (DE) developing, enhancing, and deploying software applications in a financial services environment according to Agile methodologies, using Oracle PL/SQL, APEX, Tableau Reporting, ETL, Informatica, Java Script, Java, and RESTful API frameworks; and designing and supporting high scale, secure customer-facing financial research and investment decision making applications using high volume strategies -- 8+ billion records and 100+ terabyte databases.

DE writing relational database queries, packages, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning queries, using SQL plans and XPLANs; implementing appropriate indexes -- B-Tree, Geospatial, and text -- for performance improvement in Oracle 12c database; and supporting and aiding investment professionals in making investment decisions, using investment management, time weighted and money performance calculations, fund holdings analysis, share class fee structures, and investment universes.

DE designing and developing customer-facing, enterprise Angular based Web applications using Webservices (SOAP and RESTful); designing and developing RESTful API frameworks; and performing Java service development, using CICD, Jenkins, and Concourse.

DE managing Oracle 12C database and Cloud solutions on on-premises applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) according to methodologies.
