Job Description:

Develops Web enabled applications and architect frameworks in Cloud-based architectures (AWS, GCP, RESTful Web services, and Azure) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Designs cognitive services with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) interactions between cognitive platforms. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Partners with squad leaders to establish the standards for the chapter, influencing strategic decisions and solution development.

Develops application and channel assistants that communicate with third-party and internal NLP engines.

Ensures the team composition aligns with business needs, including workforce planning necessary to deliver value and results for clients and the business.

Supports, coaches, and mentors team members as a leader and expert.

Enables an Agile and frictionless organization by modeling Agile behaviors.

Measures performance through established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Sets and enforces standards and ensures work performed is aligned with established road maps.

Removes impediments to deliver value.

Ensures team adherence to software development standards and best practices.

Allocates chapter members across teams to ensure utilization of talent while creating appropriate learning opportunities for talent development.

Develops talent within the team by identifying proficiency, expertise, and resource gaps, and recruiting, training, and hiring staff.

Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.

Designs software or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

Confers with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, and performance requirements and interfaces.

Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, and programming and documentation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience designing and building scalable, high volume, Cloud ready enterprise applications within retail investing, brokerage, and financial services environments.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience designing and building scalable, high volume, Cloud ready enterprise applications within retail investing, brokerage, and financial services environments.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing rich internet applications, using Machine Learning (ML) APIs, Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, JavaScript, RESTful Web services, AngularJS, React, and NodeJS; and performing unit testing of JavaScript applications, using Mocha and Karma open source frameworks.

DE recognizing customer interactions and architecting personalized data providers and usecase flow based on patterns obtained, using LEX or Nuance.

DE generating reports and creating dashboards for application usage analysis, and customer and identify interaction patterns, using Splunk, Qlik, and Hadoop.

DE planning, implementing, and managing high-scale, performant, and secure customer-facing applications built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or RESTful Webservices.
