Job Description:

Develops software applications using J2EE, Java, AngularJS, Spring Framework, Web Services -- Rest and Soap. Develops software components that are used by portfolio managers, traders, and analysts in managing high yield funds. Practices test automation at various levels of testing (unit, component, integration, and functional tests). Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing full stack software Web application development within a micro-service architecture.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of performing full stack software Web application development within a micro-service architecture.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) building high performant, lightweight container Web applications, using Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate ORM, and middle-tier, multi-threaded components in an Oracle database; securing application using oAuth; building REST/SOAP Web Services and APIs, using Apache CXF, Jersey, and Spring; parsing and validating XML documents, using JAXB, SAXP, and XSD; and performing unit testing, using Junit 5, Mockito, and Cucumber.

DE performing database development -- designing packages, triggers, and tables -- using Oracle; performing Oracle query tuning; troubleshooting real-time, complex stored procedures using Oracle; and performing Oracle database virtualization.

DE designing and developing dynamic responsive Single Page Web Applications (SPA), using HTML5, JSP, JQuery, JSP tag libraries, JavaScript, Angular 8+, and Bootstrap/CSS; performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using Karma and Jasmine; performing Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) using testing frameworks -- Cucumber; and performing unit and integration testing, using Jasmine and Karma.

DE building software applications and staging them, using Maven, Gradle, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, Jenkins, and Git; monitoring code quality, using Sonar and Veracode; and performing application load testing using JMeter.
