Job Description:
Duties: Conceptualizes, designs, and builds enterprise data
warehouses. Creates and maintains optimal ETL pipelines to populate
operational repositories, warehouses, and data marts. Works with
teams to understand their data analysis and reporting needs.
Supports the entire data warehouse lifecycle including, gathering
business requirements, data profiling, design, development,
testing, and support. Understands business imperatives and
translates them into business intelligence insights to enable the
business to make crucial decisions. Primary Responsibilities: Identifies various sources to encapsulate into a scalable and
robust enterprise data warehouse. Designs and models data warehouse architecture based on
enterprise reporting needs. Authors and reports visually smart dashboards using Tableau. Enforces database development and data delivery. Identifies poorly performed SQL queries and optimizes for
performance. Collaborates closely with business teams and analysts to
understand requirements to produce high quality deliverables. Supports data issues with production applications. Monitors and manages the health of database servers. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer
software specifications on major projects and proposes
modifications and improvements based on user need. Develops software system testing and validation procedures, and
programming and documentation. Collaborates with testers to analyze defects, verify behavior,
and resolve issues. Assists the Data Governance team in maintaining glossary and
lineage of the terms and attributes in the warehouse. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Information Assurance, Mathematics, Physics,
or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the
job offered or five (5) years of experience performing data
warehouse modeling, analytics, visualization, reporting,
governance, and ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) in a financial
services domain; Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Information Assurance,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing data warehouse modeling, analytics,
visualization, reporting, governance, and ETL (Extract, Transform,
and Load) in a financial services domain. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE)
performing data warehouse modeling, analytics, visualization,
reporting, governance, and ETL in a financial services domain,
using SQL server or Oracle, and Tableau, MicroStrategy, Microsoft,
and Power BI; designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse
solutions to provide historical insights, point in-time reporting,
optimal storage, access of data, management dashboards, exposure
and risk analytics, historical fund performance, returns, and
attribution, using Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle or
Teradata; DE gathering business requirements and implementing ETL
pipelines to stage, transform, and load data into data warehouses
and marts, using Informatica ETL, Data Stage ETL, and SQL Server
Integration Services (SSIS); DE building reports, dashboards, and visualization, using
MicroStrategy, Tableau, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
creating reporting data layers for self-service business
intelligence platforms to enable end users to unlock business
insights, client reporting, and portfolio management tasks, using
MicroStrategy, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and
Power BI; DE assisting data governance and product management teams in
building the technical lineage of attributes in data warehouses and
reports using Infogix Data360; identifying various stages in the
full data lifecycle to understand the transformation and
consumption of data and to ensure the correct versions of data is
used for client reports and regulatory requirements using tools --
Infogix Data360; and implementing data quality rules on attributes
