Job Description:
Uncovers data insights using big data and visualization
technologies. Builds and queries insights within relational
databases or big data environments, using SQL, Informatica, and OBI
languages and technologies. Develops interactive dashboards and
reports, using OBI and Tableau. Operates in an Audit, Risk, or
Fraud Detection/Security function. Provides analytic solutions and
data management services to clients in a financial services
environment. Primary Responsibilities: Assists in meeting enterprise fraud detection obligations. Responds to complex business inquires. Develops new solutions and tools for risk professionals used to
proactively identify potential risks across the firm. Identifies issues using big data and visualization
technologies. Participates in audits and investigations. Identifies opportunities for data analytics to reduce manual
testing or processes. Collaborates with multiple teams to protect the interests of
customers and employees. Delivers innovative data visualization and analytic tools Responsible for the oversight, maintenance, quality assurance,
and operational support of analytic and reporting environments. Ensures timely and accurate risk intelligence is delivered for
direct use by the enterprise. Supports risk analytics environment activities ranging from risk
analysis to factor-based performance attribution. Monitors calculation/reporting production cycles, fielding
requests for custom analyses, and participates in development
efforts to expand risk capabilities. Serves as a subject area leader on all aspects of risk and the
broader data environment. Participates in or leads multi-team projects of varying size
from both a project management and technical implementation
perspective. Consults with internal and external business partners as part of
the expansion and maintenance of the quantitative research data
environment. Performs business, systems, and data analysis, detailed process
design, and thorough acceptance testing across projects that
require new content. Performs complex analytic calculations and produces additional
reporting capabilities used by investment professionals. Oversees production reporting cycles across the analytic
environments. Responds to ad-hoc data analysis requests and inquiries in
support of the enterprise. Provides ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions
related to fraud surveillance and investigations. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing data modeling, integration, and mining in the
financial services industry, using SQL, R, and Python. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience performing data modeling, integration,
and mining in the financial services industry, using SQL, R, and
Python. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing data
pipelines for data warehouses, using ETL tools -- Informatica
PowerCenter and Alteryx -- and integrating the data pipelines with
external PL/SQL, Python, and UNIX Shell scripting; creating and
managing batch jobs, using Autosys and Informatica servers; and
identifying bottlenecks in extract, transform, load (ETL) packages
and providing best suited solutions. DE designing and developing data models and databases to ensure
interoperability with BI solutions using PL/SQL; writing triggers,
cursors, PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, and complex
transactional SQL queries within DB2, Sybase, Netezza, Hadoop, SQL
Server, and Oracle databases; performing database management and
capacity planning on Oracle and DB2 databases using SQL queries;
and creating corrective measures by identifying performance issues
using SQL queries. DE performing data profiling, mining, specification, extraction,
cleansing, and analysis for large data warehouses, using DB2,
Sybase, Netezza, Hadoop, SQL Server, and Oracle; and generating
visual insights for business and end users, using Oracle Business
Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), BI Publisher, and
Tableau. DE detecting cyber and non-cyber financial services fraud events
-- identifying risk and threat vectors, assessing current customer
protection controls, and determining opportunities for
implementation of solutions to prevent financial fraud on customer
