Position Description:

Develops applications, using Python and R. Conducts data extraction and analysis, using SQL, Hadoop/Spark, and Bayesian Statistical methods -- STAN, JAGS, and PyMC3. Collaborates to conceptualize, create, test, and deploy innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and capabilities across several business units using Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD). Trains deep neural networks, using Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, and MXNet. Enhances processes and products using Machine Learning (ML) techniques and algorithms -- linear/non-linear, tree based, and feature selection. Employs statistical analysis, ML, Natural Language Processing (NLP), natural language generation, deep learning, predictive modeling, experimental design, and outcome optimization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops scientific or mathematical models.

Analyzes data to identify and resolve operational problems.

Evaluates data quality.

Designs computer modeling and simulation programs.

Analyzes data to determine specifications and requirements.

Applies mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems.

Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.

Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.

Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic initiatives.

Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.

Advises senior management on strategy.

Researches and recommends new technologies.

Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.

Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.

Identifies and plans for future resource needs.

Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience performing data warehousing and analytics within a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience performing data warehousing and analytics within a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in data warehousing and data extraction, transformation, and loading, analyzing, validating, and presenting big data sets for modeling using Data Modeler; and writing SQL scripts for loading enterprise warehouses and analytics data preparation.

DE in data warehousing -- dimensional data modeling, FACT and dimension tables, physical and logical data modeling, and Analytics Data preparation.

DE developing analytical applications, using Python and R; conducting data extraction and analysis, using SQL, Hadoop/Spark, and Bayesian Statistical methods -- STAN, JAGS, and PyMC3; conceptualizing, creating, testing, and deploying innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and capabilities across financial business units using Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).

DE training deep neural networks, using Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, and MXNet; enhancing processes and products using Machine Learning (ML) techniques and algorithms -- linear/non-linear, tree based, and feature selection; and employing statistical analysis, ML, Natural Language Processing (NLP), natural language generation, deep learning, predictive modeling, experimental design, and outcome optimization.
