Job Description:
Collaborates with software engineers to deliver products, using
Gitlab, Jira, Productboard, and Confluence. Manages and supports
products throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Contributes to the development of highly integrated systems to
support internal business functions across the enterprise. Guides
cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products to
improve consumer experience and grow assets under management.
Ensures products align and support enterprise strategies and goals.
Gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements.
Proactively manages sprint-level risks, assumptions, issues, and
dependencies to ensure they are identified, coordinated, mitigated,
or escalated. Primary Responsibilities: Defines product vision. Ensures a shared understanding of customer problems and
stakeholders visions. Meets with stakeholders to analyze and capture expectations. Anticipates client needs and sequences work accordingly. Aligns cross-functional stakeholder expectations on product
tradeoffs and prioritization efforts. Structures and conducts all project ceremonies for technology
teams. Develops Product Requirements Documents (PRD). Breaks down requirements, prioritizes backlogs, and creates user
stories. Develops and maintains product roadmaps and translates them to
project management plans for new business requests, enhancements,
bug fixes, and vendor changes. Collaborates with design and implementation engineers and
architects to review and refine fundamental design concepts, user
needs, and constraints. Provides product insights to the development team in execution
of concepts. Tracks project status, milestones, and deliverables. Anticipates and removes impediments to ensure teams achieve
objectives. Runs beta and pilot programs, using early-stage products and
samples. Reports project progress to senior management. Works with engineering and customer support teams to ensure
business case and customer satisfaction goals are met. Plans and facilitates production deployments. Manages pre/post-production activities. Mentors junior team members. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a
closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job
offered or five (5) years of experience facilitating the delivery
of products in a financial services environment, by product or
project managing technology and innovation processes. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering
Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or a closely related field and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
facilitating the delivery of products in a financial services
environment, by product or project managing technology and
innovation processes. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) identifying customer issues and
establishing strategic product goals; creating product roadmaps
using product backlogs; prioritizing customer requests by applying
prioritization frameworks (story mapping and cost/benefit
analysis); monitoring collaboration between departments and
disciplines; guiding project roadmap sessions to plan and schedule
project timelines; coordinating input and deliverables required to
meet targeted business objectives; removing single points of
failures, and maintaining sustainable velocity; and determining
innovative solutions and best practices to remove impediments; DE delivering products for index portfolio management, trading,
operations, compliance, performance, and business development in a
financial services environment; developing, enforcing, and
following communication procedures, guidelines, and policies;
supporting projects and business risk management (process mapping
and improvements); and facilitating incremental planning to align
development with business goals, visions, roadmaps, and backlogs,
using Productboard, GitLab, and JIRA; DE managing and coordinating Agile ceremonies and practices --
backlog maintenance, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, user demos,
and retrospectives -- to establish formal release plans for cross
functional, distributed off and on-shore development teams and
vendors; identifying and setting-up dashboards to track Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs); and capturing team progress through
process metrics and artifacts to ensure accurate data on KPIs,
using Gitlab, JIRA (planning and tracking projects) and Agile
development methodologies (sprint burndown and release burnup
charts); and DE managing the end-to-end integration of customer-facing
applications using SQL, Java, C#, and R programming; coordinating
all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) --
requirements gathering, design reviews, implementation, quality
assurance, user testing, and business signoffs -- for projects
according to Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and Agile
methodologies (Jira and Gitlab); preparing release plans to deploy
code using DevOps, GitLab version control, and Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies; and
coordinating to source data implemented during ETL process in
