Position Description: Identifies and prioritizes top Artificial Intelligence (AI)
statistics-based opportunities. Transforms large volumes of complex
data into statistical and AI-focused solutions using creative,
groundbreaking open source methods and technologies. Applies
rigorous quantitative approaches to build algorithms. Researches
and builds complex, cutting edge, scalable Artificial Intelligence
(AI) algorithms, models, platforms, and technologies to improve
customer experience and drive business results. Uses business
knowledge to develop complex AI/ML methods for the business unit.
Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Primary Responsibilities: Leads ML strategy and roadmap planning. Develops and evaluates ML models on large, complex datasets. Establishes and project manages analysis plans for multiple
complex work steams. Manages the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and
development of projects. Holds accountability for integration into larger,
multi-disciplined projects, as appropriate. Works across teams to influence and lead the direction of
external teams. Mentors junior team members in data sources, tools, and
technologies. Collaborates with senior management to identify and solve
operational problems and to clarify management objectives. Prepares management reports and provides clear and concise
communication when reporting on project topic or project
status. Provides ML leadership on complex projects, often across several
business units and functions. Manages the formulation of mathematical modeling and optimizing
methods to develop and interpret information that assists
management with decision making, policy formulation, or other
managerial functions. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Data
Science, Computer Science, Computational Statistics, Operations
Research, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the
job offered or five (5) years of experience building Artificial
Intelligence/Machine Learning models, in a financial services
environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational
Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and two
(2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of
experience building Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models
in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing advanced statistical
analytics to develop and evaluate supervised and unsupervised
Machine Learning (ML) algorithms -- Regression, Decision Trees,
Neural Networks, linear and mixed effect models, Feature Selection,
Hyper-Parameter tuning, and ranking models; and developing and
evaluating supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms, using Python
and ML libraries PyTorch, scikit-learn, Tensorflow, and Keras. DE applying modern AI techniques including semi-supervised
learning methods (Few-Shot and One-Shot learning) with ML libraries
(Snorkel). DE launching ML and Deep Learning (DL) models in remote computer
servers and online environments to perform data and runtime
profiling of solutions and assess the efficacy of ML and AI
algorithms -- experimental design, A/B testing, performance
monitoring, AI fairness evaluation, and bias mitigations. DE applying AI technologies within a Financial domain --
portfolio construction, financial statement analysis, and
