Manager, Clinical Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Description:

  • Serve as liaison between the clinical operations, care delivery, market operations, and finance departments
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional and multi-site clinical staffing models that optimize resources and aide the long-term planning efforts of the clinical organization.
  • Support the evaluation of care management and care delivery models.
  • Work on extremely complex problems where financial, clinical, and operational data need to be combined to evaluate clinical operations and workflows.
  • Analyze opportunities to continuously improve the organization's ability to scale resources, find efficiencies, improve quality, and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaborate with members of the FP&A team to maintain data and systems to ensure accuracy and ease of access.
  • Support the process for developing the annual operating budget. This process involves communication and coordination with all clinical departments as well as leaders of corporate support functions. Interact with senior system-level of the clinical organization and entity management in the development of targets, assumptions and strategic issues to be incorporated into the annual budget and planning process.
  • Support monthly Budget vs. Actual Reporting for clinical departments.
  • Support the development and evaluation of CCA's clinical corporate priorities.
  • Provide FP&A support for the entire clinical organization, which includes health plan clinical operations and care delivery.
  • This position may have the responsible for managing subordinates. Positions that manage subordinates have full responsibility for managing staff performance, including, but not limited to, setting performance expectations and holding staff accountable to those expectations, providing timely and meaningful feedback, and modeling respectful and collaborative behavior.
  • Additional duties as required.Required:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Public Health, or other relevant field.

    Preferred:
    Masters in Business Administration or Healthcare.

    Required:
    3 years of experience in the area of clinical, financial, and population health analyses.

    Required:
    • Strong background building complex staffing models.
    • Experience supporting clinical resources.
    • Strong attention to detail; along with ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Working knowledge of MS tools, including MS Office products; advance experience with Excel preferred
    • Experience with SQL, SAS, or other relevant query/analytics coding language.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal clients, and a successful track record of collaboration toward achieving objectives expected.
    • Strong financial and resource planning experience required
    • Good communication skills (both written and oral), ability to present to Senior Leadership.
    • Prior healthcare industry experience a plusRequired:
