Job DescriptionOur mission. Ark Behavioral Health is a network of Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Facilities that provide a variety of levels of care to those who are prepared to begin their journey toward recovery. We are looking for a full-time Clinical Supervisor at our Bedrock Recovery Center Location in Canton, Massachusetts.Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, 8-4 or 9-5pmJob Summary: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all clinical responsibilities and documentation are completed to the agency and regulatory standards. The Clinical Supervisor consults with the Clinical Director, Program Director, Executive Director, Business Development, Physician, and medical personnel as needed. The Clinical Supervisor maintains close communication with all clinical staff, providing supervision and support to staff and patients from the start of the admission process, modifying a patient's treatment plan/course, to discharge. The Clinical Supervisor acts as liaison at times between different members of the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities:

  • Helps coordinate a patient's orientation and admission to the building as needed, to ensure a trauma-informed approach is taken with the patient's care and policies and procedures are followed
  • Assesses patient's physical, psychological/emotional, environmental, and behavioral status and collaborates with team to initiate a plan of care based on these findings; ensures that all facility staff are appropriately updated and prepared to cater for any specific patient needs
  • Works closely with the Case Management, Aftercare, Referral, and Nursing/Medical Departments to ensure efficient treatment and discharge planning is coordinated
  • Serves as a critical resource for de-escalation/crisis intervention purposes if patients feel inclined to discharge from treatment against medical advice
  • Responsible for updating patient's families/friends with pertinent details to patient's treatment and aftercare recommendation if appropriate ROI on file
  • Records observations and interactions with staff/patients accurately and maintains patient's medical records in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Reviews clinical documentation on assigned unit according to agency, state, and federal regulatory standards
  • Provide regular clinical supervision for assigned team according to ACA/APA codes of ethics and standards
  • Follows the established universal precautions and procedures for inpatient care according to agency, state, and federal regulation
  • Promotes an atmosphere of optimism, empathy, and interest in patients' personal and health care needs
  • Reviews, monitors, intervenes, documents, and relays complaints and grievances from patients, families, visitors, and employees
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of records, conditions, and other information relating to patients, employees, and the facilityRequirements:
    • Knowledge of Psychopathology, Diagnostic Assessment and Chemical Dependency treatment
    • Proficiency in Communication, Observation, & Written Skills
    • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. Including: Confidentiality, Patient Rights, professional Code of Ethics and Discrimination
    • Drug-Free Workplace Policies and Workplace Violence policies
    • Knowledge of addiction issues and the 12-Step Recovery Program
    • Patient care charts and patient histories
    • Crisis intervention techniques and knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose including First Aid and CPR
    • Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and their family
    • Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
    • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
    • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.Qualifications:
      • 3+ years of clinical experience.
      • Working with Addiction and/or Chemical Dependency patients, preferably in an inpatient setting
      • LICSW, LADC-I, or LMHCEducation:
        • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or health-related field Why Work for Us!
