Be part of a professional development department. This position will have. emphasis on the design, development and oversight of New Nurse Graduate program and orientation. Other duties to support the professional development department.Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current nursing registration in Massachusetts, BSN required, MSN Preferred. Additional certifications may be preferred based on specialty area of nursing practice. Demonstrated clinical competence in the specialty unit of nursing practice preferred.---Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment.---Readily adapts to change and welcomes new approaches when circumstances demand it.---Ability to make timely and appropriate decisions in the face of conflicting demands and interests.---Motivated and dedicated teacher, up to date with the latest nursing research.---A working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design program---Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills---Passion for mentoring others---Responsibilities: Designing, delivering, and evaluating new nurses' orientation and progress including RN's and LPN's. Designing, delivering, and evaluating new graduate program---Monitor and support progression of novice nurses---Support management of clinical activities---Observe nurse performance and adapt in collaboration with preceptor and manager---Collaborate and communicate with novice nurse's preceptor's---Support and educate preceptors for optimal new hire outcomesAdditional InformationImportant COVID messageThis position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce.Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work.Steward will consider requests for exemptions from this vaccine requirement on the basis of medical condition or sincerely held religious belief in accordance with applicable Federal laws.
