POSITION OVERVIEW: If you're passionate about serving children in their earliest years and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, Ellis may be the place for you! Flexibility is a must in this role that has both administrative and direct service components, as each day is different and likely may not go as planned. You'll spend the majority of your time in the South End, with one day a week at Ellis in Jamaica Plain. RESPONSIBILITIESSocial Work Program AdministrationCollaborate with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to enroll children in eligible DCF slots and manage DCF billings. Additionally, coordinate with DCF Social Workers to provide updates about the child(ren)'s progress in the program and supports the program can offer to the family as neededMaintain partnerships with external organizations to provide increased therapeutic resources to the program Coordinate directly with the Vice President and Assistant Vice President of Programs to establish procedures for program intakes, referrals, and termination of services Maintain all necessary documentation in clinical filesParticipate and provide a therapeutic lens in parent meetings as requested by leadershipSupervise social work interns and provide a comprehensive learning experience reflective of social work and Ellis values Social Work Program ImplementationManage internal and external referrals for clinical services and connect families to the Family Service Navigator as neededFacilitate therapeutic groups offered to all children to support social and emotional developmentFacilitate parent support groups or therapeutic training for families monthly, and as requested, provide therapeutic consult for families Provide trauma-informed and strengths-based behavior management support and interventions as well as coaching to staff regarding implementation Provide classroom support and crisis interventions to the Early Education Center and School-Age Program as needed General Ellis SupportParticipate as a member of the health screening team for staff and children (for the duration of COVID)Help facilitate various donations for families as neededProvide front desk coverage as needed; greet families and transfer phone calls QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Social WorkDemonstrated experience in a childcare or family care center serving culturally diverse families from low-income householdsStrong interpersonal communication skills (in person, by phone, and in writing)Superior attention to detail, consistency, accuracy, and follow-throughAble to practice effective organizational skillsDemonstrate sound personal judgment, show initiative, and resourcefulnessCompetitive salary and benefits package including vacation and sick time, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and 401k with employer match.
