Pharmacy Supervisor - Kenmore - Oncology - Full Time -

country.SUMMARYOversees, plans, directs and ensures Oncology
Pharmacy operations are in accordance with Atrius Health policies
and procedures, federal and state laws and regulations (including
USP 797 and USP 800) and pharmacy professional standards.GENERAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHires, trains, coaches, supervises and
evaluates performance of oncology pharmacy staff.Manages weekly
scheduling, payroll and security.Improves business metrics that
enhance patient care, integrates technology and aligns
operations.Provides exemplary patient service and demonstrates
professionalism in all interactions.Documents and follows up on all
safety reports in order to support effective and safe
operations.Represents the pharmacy on several multidisciplinary
committees.Collaborates with nursing to develop, review and update
oncology related policies.Ensures team adherence to proper aseptic
technique during the sterile compounding process, including all
required competencies.Collaborates with pharmacy personnel, nurses,
physicians and other clinical staff to deliver safe and optimal
patient care.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversees oncology
pharmacists, technicians and interns. Ensures that the oncology
pharmacy team works together to optimize drug therapy and prevent
adverse drug events related to the pharmaceutical care of the
ambulatory patient.EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSBachelor of
Science Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. required. Must currently be a
Registered Pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts with an active
pharmacist license without restrictions from the MA Board of
Pharmacy. Must complete 20 Continuing Education (CE) credits
(including 5 sterile compounding credits) per calendar year as
required by Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and in accordance with
Pharmacy Staff License Monitoring and Maintenance of Credentials
Policy. Must not be listed on the Exclusion Database List of
Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) maintained by the
Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General
(OIG). American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required
based on specialty. Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist
(BCSCP) or Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)
preferred.EXPERIENCEMust have 5+ years' experience in an oncology
infusion pharmacy and possess extensive knowledge of compounded
sterile preparations, including hazardous drugs. Must have 3+
years' experience in a supervisory/leadership position in an
oncology infusion pharmacy within the past 3 years. Experience with
Epic treatment/therapy plans and Simplifi 797
preferred.SKILLSAbility to multitask in a busy setting. Possesses
(or able to develop) a working knowledge of sterile compounding and
infusion related therapies. Strong communication skills,
organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary. Must
be team oriented and demonstrate excellent patient service skills,
effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving
abilities and strong interpersonal skills.All Pharmacy Department
applicants, (excluding Clinical Pharmacy) who are offered a job
