Ago job requisition id R2275 OVERVIEW: -Year Up seeks a high-energy
and experienced Account Director to manage major corporate
relationship(s) (i.e., multi-million-dollar annual revenue goal).
Reporting to the Managing Director, this individual will have
primary responsibility for sales and relationship management
including forecasting demand, strategic account planning, and
pipeline management, in their assigned accounts. The Account
Director, as required, will have management responsibility for
relationship managers supporting their accounts and will architect
various programs in pursuit of Year Up's national goal to develop
major accounts. The Account Director will provide analysis and
decision support to the Managing Director in their region.The ideal
candidate should desire to leverage their demonstrated experience
in managing a sales team and developing sales strategy. You will
have experience using Salesforce or other CRM and sales planning
tools, strong communication skills, and a bias toward best
practices and repeatable processes. You will be prepared to
participate in cross-site collaboration and provide leadership on
various projects with a scope beyond your region.In keeping with

our students and interns on a regular basis to help create and
sustain a positive educational environment. -KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Account Management
- Manage and expand existing relationships with corporate
accounts to ensure 90%+ retention (growth and renewal) rate of
internship seats by defining and executing team strategy;
collaborate with senior leadership as needed
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction with Year Up service based on
corporate surveys
- Expand multi-year commitments within existing partner base
- Grow, develop, and manage relationships with key stakeholders
in each account by providing responsive and high-quality customer
service paired with high support of interns
- Initiate and develop processes that establish high-service
operating practices to strengthen the internship program
- Drive internal internship seat sales and alumni hiring within
corporate partner accounts by developing relationships with
internal champions at current partner companies
- Synthesize research and market analysis to identify potential
opportunities within current corporate accounts to support future
growth
- Develop methods for expanding manager training and preparation
to better support successful internship experiences
- Drive planning and execution of partner relations events,
including corporate events, orientation meetings, and corporate
site visits to support interns
- Manage the preparation and delivery of effective presentations
to connect with and educate potential partners
- Maintain partner and intern data on Salesforce.com ensuring
complete and accurate reportingSales Management -
- Manage 1 -3 sales professionals
- Hold team-and self-accountable for executing revenue results
against goals
- Implement best practices in sales management in support of
maintaining a robust pipeline of internship demand from corporate
partners in three cities with multiple product offerings
- Manage day-to-day pipeline management
- Plan and manage a weekly sales meeting and make sure the
"trains run on time" - maintaining discipline toward 6-month
cyclical deadlines (surveys go out, seats get closed, due diligence
gets done)Site Leadership
- Support Managing Director with reporting and analysis -
- Participate in site leadership meetings and establish yourself
as the program-facing lead for your site, working with local
program team on improvements to CE/Program communication, etc.
(planning, goal setting, splitting time between core/PTC/Employer
sites within your city)
- Participate in site-level CE and Devo events, retreats,
in-service days
- Work with RD and Sales Operations Support on reporting to
National senior leadership team concerning market demand,
anticipated challenges, resource needs, talent development, staff
training and the likeRegional Leadership
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the Managing
Director
- Participate in the annual sales planning process, derive
insights and bring a regional view of market demand with actionable
recommendations
- Design support programs, set milestones, and oversee
implementation and follow-through of team projects and
initiatives
- Leverage influence skills to work effectively within the team
and across departments to obtain input, move groups to consensus,
and build buy-in
- Collaborate with colleagues at the National and Site levels, as
well as across the Year Up networkCross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Managing Director and Partner Relations
Managers supporting the strategy and tactics in Strategic Account
Plans (SAP's) for areas of proposed expansion
- Demonstrate genuine commitment to the mission, vision, values,
and culture of Year Up
- Ensure collaboration across departmentsQUALIFICATIONS: -
- At least 7-10+ years of professional experience in business
development, strategic account management, management consulting or
service delivery
- Diligent, disciplined, & accountable - comfortable in
performing at high-level in a dynamic deadline-driven
environment
- Consultative sales approach with a focus on both internal and
external clients and a passion for service excellence
- Proven ability to influence, develop, manage, and empower
employees to achieve objectives within a team
- Ability to demonstrate prior success in meaningful relationship
building, management, and growth to scale
- Demonstrated ability to set direction and manage complex teams,
projects, and processes
- Ability to collaborate across teams, facilitate difficult
conversations, and resolve issues
- Ability to lead, willingness to be led, and comfort with
situational leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce.com experience
preferred; experience with relationship mapping tools a plus
- A willingness to travel and spend several days and 2-5 nights
per month away from home, as needed

$91,000-125,000COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Year Up has established salary ranges for each of our sites,
which allows us to pay employees competitively, equitably and
consistently in different geographic markets. For roles in which
the location is listed as flexible, the range displayed reflects
the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the
position across all US locations. Salary offers take into account a
