Overview
Our ideal Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is super personable
with a passion for providing excellent clinical support and a safe
and fun experience for our patients! This position plays a key role
in our connection with our patients and must have the ability to
connect with patients on an intensely personal level to instill
trust and confidence.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Medical clearances
- Pre-op and Post-op calls
- Narcotic counts
- Support surgeries in the OR
- Process pregnancy tests
- Support patient recovery
- Support post-op visits
- Completion of daily logs
- Assist in surgeries
- Administer medication orally and through injection where States
allow
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test
results and other information for medical records
- Prepare operating room(s) and assist our nurses and physicians
with medical procedures, recovery and other patient care.
- Transport equipment and supplies to and from areas as
needed.
- Clean, sterilize and store instruments, equipment.
- Assist where indicated in the clean-up of the operating room
after the surgical procedure.
- Escort the patient to their car to ensure safe discharge.
- Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to
patients and families.
- Check, clean and stock bathrooms every hour to ensure our high
standards are being met
- Unpack and put away shipments/supplies
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including
HIPAA and OSHA
- Perform clinical tasks in accordance with onsite Physician
and/or Nurse orders
- Perform operational tasks in accordance with the company's
policies and procedures under the guidance and management of the
Practice Manager and Nursing Leadership Team
- Ad hoc support of clinical and operational functions as needed
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certificate of Completion
of an accredited MA or similar program
- Current BLS certification is required
- Positive and energetic attitude is a must!
- Patient-care and patient-safety focused
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferable Job

- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Creative thinker with the ability to identify and solve
problems
- Ability to function well both independently and as part of a
team
- Ability to multitask under pressure and be highly responsive to

Salary Range: In addition to the above perks & benefits, our pay
range for a Medical Assistant in our Boston clinic is approximately
$22-$30/hour depending on certification(s), skills and/or
experience.
