The Social Worker role is now eligible for a $3,500 sign on bonus. Important Details: Bonuses are paid out in 2 payments: $1,750 after 30 days of hire and $1,750 after 6 months of hire. To be eligible, you must be a non-BILH employee or a previous eligible employee who returns to BILH after 1 year. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus at the time of payment. All bonuses are subject to applicable taxes. If you leave Lahey Health & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the sign-on bonus to Lahey Health & Medical Center. Medical Social Worker LCSW

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a (40 hour per week) Clinical Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team on the inpatient medical / surgical floors. Responsibilities include evaluating and supporting adjustment to illness and engagement in care, as well as addressing barriers and coordination of care. Provide brief counseling to patients and families, community referrals as appropriate, facilitation of family meetings and consultation to interdisciplinary care teams. Individual should be comfortable working with addictions, mental health, homeless/housing, complicated family dynamics, trauma, mandated reporting and competent/comfortable around end of life and or hospice discussion.

Clinical supervision offered for those at the LCSW level.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Skilled in the areas of psychosocial assessment, treatment/intervention and coordination of care. Able to provide a variety of treatment modalities; including individual, couples, group and family therapy. Utilizes a theoretical base of knowledge to assess, diagnose, formulate interventions and evaluate clinical outcomes. Candidate should be able to prioritize and manage caseload within a fast paced multi-disciplinary setting.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Master's School of Social Work.


Licensure, Certification, Registration: Currently licensed either at the LICSW or LCSW level by the Massachusetts Board of Licensure for Social Work.
